I bought 16x8 +33 offset rims recently and now i'm deciding which tyres to put on them
I'm thinking of 225/40/16 t1r, i am also going to roll my fenders.
I have an Ek civic, will these tyres fit?
Anyone have some recommendations?

yea will fit fine, if u want a more stretch, go one size down, 215/40/R16

it wont be fine you will smash your gaurds even if you do roll it
you need a 205/195 tyre

Depending on how low/high your car sits, Lan is correct.

Thanks for the reply guys. So decided not to get 225/40/16's. Do you guys think 215/40/16 will fit? Again, T1R toyo's

i had 195 and 205 fitted to my 15x8
low profiles are best. try 205/45r16
is ur car has camber arms and rolled guards then 215/40r16 should b fine.
then again too much camber wear ya tyres out.
Id still say 205 max. too much rubber and there will be too much grip/harder to put power down depending on engine...

I've been asking the same questions elsewhere on the civic-eg forum. From what I gather try not to go over 205 as you risk rubbing a lot easier. I have a configuration that can help you compare your current tires to the ones you want to get so you can get a visual idea of the difference. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

90LAN is correct, ive got 205's atm with flared guards n lowered with same size rims + offset, n still have abit of trouble doing a full turn of steering wheel, ull still smash the guards but not as bad =)
