Hey Guys.

I bought a "mugen style" spoiler for me jazz way back, and well when i put it on, there was kind of a problem, u see when the hatched opened it pivoted so that the top of the spilers feet would crush on the back edge of the roof.

if u can imagine it? ill upload some picks after...

the spoiler is all abs plastic ive filled the hatch holes abit further, so it hits less.
but my mum drives it now n then and she isn't thoughtfull and lets the thing flick up and crack it...

so any ideas? is i was thinking abt getting a carbon fiber GT wing or w.e but it would have to be on a large angle pointing back and then have the wing on the end, anyone know where i can get one?

GD1 doesn't come with a spoiler? but if it was an aftermarket one then yes.

about the fitting, is it possible to scrap/cut some of the bottom bit of the 2 support (to make it sit lower) of your spoiler?
your spoiler should be those remodel from some spoiler so the mold didn't do properly so the product became a bit larger so it touch the hatch edge...

Hey guys i just bought gd1 recently n had no spoiler. I bought a mugen spoiler but dont know where to drill holes to attech the spoiler. If n one has time or knoes a diy can u please link me or take some pics. It would b realyy greatful

1. measure out the length between the holes and divide by 2
2. Then measure boot lid width up top and find the center.
3. use your measurement of the half distance between boot lid holes to make 2 straight line markings either side.
4. then measure the distance that the holes are in from the front of the spoiler.
5. place spoiler inlin with the middle the spoiler holes should be in line with your verticle markings from step 3
6. use the marker to create a small outline of the spoiler that intersecs the lines from step 3.
7. then use the measurements from step 4 place a small horizontal line in the appropriate spot so you create an X
8. drill on the X

or

get 2 paper squares. place one on each of the contact areas of the spoiler (1 on left and 1 on right leg) and hold it on with tape.
pop a hole though the paper with a pen or something sharp so that the pen goes through the screw hole in the spoiler.
then lightly sprinkle/spray water onto the boot lid near mounting points.
and place the spoiler on the car so it is central with same gap either sides and remove the tape from the spoiler, and getnly lift the spoiler off so that the paper remains on the car, make sure the paper doesnt move
tape the paper down and drill thought the hole indicated by the paper.

remember when drilling into the car to use a product that will prevent rust from forming and to give the surrounding area a blow and then wipe it (dry cloth). incase any steel fillaments fall around because they will rust into the paint and the car.
