From a previous thread that has been closed off already i was asking about rims... i have found myself a set of fat fives. =D

i have a cypress green ek and wanted to ask your opinion on painting them.

i was thinking black with a polished lip

or i could just leave it alone and polish them up again =] your sugestions will help me decide on what to do..

Please do not start an argument like in the previous thread just state your opinion without any derogatory statements please i just want you guys to help please, but please, express how you feel =]

i would like to have black rims but is it worth painting over these oem ones?

Leave it stock, it looks cheap, tacky and imho ugly if you respray it black.

Not ot mention it's hard to sell OEM rims painted in a non oem colour

with the fat fives i would leave them OEM - if the clearcoat is ok and there arnt too many scratches just give them a once over with autosol and wheel cleaner

if they are really scratched and the clearcoat has come off you will need to give them a bit of a work over - but i will leave somebody else to advise on this because im yet to do it on mine

sorry for closing the other thread - it was getting out of hand

mine are fairly scratched/rashed - but with a good clean up it really isnt noticable

I think Fat Fives look best in OEM colour. If need be you should just sand off the clear and polish them up :)

Fat Fives need to be polished. They look dodgy when they're sprayed.
