Hi, i just bought a 95 civic hatch with 120ks on it, it doesnt have full options but for some reason its has a 1.5L engine which is on the GL models and i wouldve thought since it doesnt have options its a CX. it has a 1.5L (1493cc) engine, the badge is EG4 or something, and says made FEB 95. can someone help me and tell me if its a GL or CXi or whatever it is???
:honda:  :honda:

EG4 D15B JDM All 3-door/4-door/CR-X; from http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1109602 (don't know how accurate the list is, and how applicable for audm, but if accurate could be handy for something)
as of late '93 Gl was upgraded to Gli (i believe), and thus yours being post that i'd guess you have a Gli, but that's only a guess, what would i know?
u got a EG GL. if u had a d16 it would be a VTi. u havnt got a sunroof i bet ;)

Is it carb or efi? If it's carb then it's probably a breeze. The carb has a oval shaped airbox sitting above the engine. Check the engine code like people have said. It's down on the left hand end looking at it from the front. Also if it has black plastic rearview mirrors and door handles it's a breeze. 1.5L single carb engine.

There can only be 2 options of what you car is
- Gli (EFI Model of the GL producded after 94 i think)
- Later model Breeze with the power options and 1.5 d15
My money is on the GLi

Eclipsor i think you're right on the money, i got this car as a gift from my dad and yesss it is a carb and yes doorhandles and mirriors aren't body coloured, :( im so depressed its a carb engine i had plans for this car and now they're all ruined, it goes ok but im disappointed in honda for making carb engines on 95 models. i guess its a eg breeze all probs solved exept my grudge against honda civics.

I'm pretty sure they aren't efi. 1.5L single downdraft carb. d15z2. Unless there is another breeze model after that.

ok i read the posts wrong, thought it HAD power options.
sounds like a breeze
some EGs are just werid. Especially the breezes. I know my friends breeze came with aircon stock, and central locking, but no alarm?
ive read of others with full options but the d13 engine.

yeah some people add central locking and stuff themselves, like me:), i got a central locking system with alarm package (mongoose) put in yesterday, im gonna put exhasut on it and maybe rims (maybe because it wouldnt look so good with rear drum brakes), any other suggestions for civics that are cost effective and look good???
p.s DOES ANYBODY know where i can find stock civic hub caps or 14" caps with honda sign on them in sydney?

lmao at SiR JDM, yeah i suppose i gotta make my civic look good atleast now that i know for a fact it's its not one of the fastest civics. i want something on my wheels though i got black wheels and i took the hub caps off because they were wannabe hubs the last owner put on. if i dont find some simple hubs or stock civic hubs im gonna go crazy, i wanted to get rims first but everyone tells me get exhaust first. what u guys think?

get a decent exhaust and filter first, THEN lower it with nice progressive springs or shocks if money allows :D
