hey - just got my car back from the towing yard
when i dropped it off it was fine - i have photos from the day just before
when i picked it up - the front UR lower bar had been bent up into the headers
the headers are pushed up into the underside of the car - putting pressure on the front of the engine
and the sump has been bashed in
it appears that they have used a forklift or trolley jack to move the car and not taken proper care
never mind about them paying for the damages etc
my lawyer is already sorting that out
what i want to know is - in the mean time is the car ok to drive?
the wheel alignment still feels fine - but the engine is running REALLY rough
im not sure if this may have effected the way the engine is mounted
possibly effecting gearbox, drive shafts, engine mounts, headers, engine position???
i just dont know wether i can get around in it safely or not until it is fixed

just get it towed and send them the bill ontop of other expenses claimed. No point driving it home and blowing your engine because the oil pickup is bent !

i have just collected all the evidence and got quotes for parts - just waiting on a quote from yonas for the UR bar and i will get a labor quote from my mechanic - than present it all to my lawyer
sigh
if they just took 10mins to take a little more care than they would have saved themselves almost 1000$

Well I hope they enjoy paying every cent.
I would also suggest not driving it.

DONT touch it.
Wait until the insurance sends an assessor over and aid them in finding all faults / damages from this event.

yeah gona call my mechanic to do an inspection and put a report in with my lawyer
other than that all i have done is give the car a wash, put some fuel in it and tape up the front lip a bit so it doesnt sag on the ground
epic sigh

dropped off all the info to the lawyer - have a meeting with them on Wednesday
my usual mechanic wont deal with me now either because he has a business relationship with the owner of the towing company - epic sigh

made a small amount of progress
mechanic told me to check spark, fuel, oil, ignition and charge
the plugs arnt as foiled as they were the first time i pulled them out
i cleaned them, cleaned out the dizzy n contacts etc
cleaned the contacts on the leads
have a full tank of premium fuel
oil levels seem to be ok
car has charge as indicated via volt meter
pulled the plugs out with them connected and got a mate to turn the car over - NO SPARK
tried my normal honda leads instead of 10mm ones - NO SPARK
hrm......

just checked ecu wiring harness and all fuses
pretty much got me beat now
it was running fine, than i took the leads off for a dry start - it cranked over - put the leads back on and now im having this problem
it still cranks over - theres a tad of oil on the plugs (not enough to cause an issue) and thats about it
sigh

RAC came today and checked over the whole car - the guy is a mates dad and we had a good yarn about old school rally as well lawl
he says its an electrical fault by all the tests he has done and the nature of the problem
apparently the best thing to do is tow it to a auto-sparky and get them to sort it out
ill talk to my lawyer first tho - but if its electrical its not really the fault of the towing yard
they can still fix the other damage they caused tho gggrrrr
