Welcome to ozhonda. You're now the 2nd auto dc4 owner :P

I ran a 3.5" cannon axleback for a few months but decided to go the stock look. Just recently did a resonator delete + airbox lid removal with a K&N drop-in filter. Induction sound is deep as fvck, sounds way better than noise coming from your cars ass. Just get a CAI imo... i'm just too poor. With an exhaust (excluding Varex) you can't turn it down at booze buses and late at night, which i found to be most annoying.

For rims, i reckon 16s or 17s look hot.

Some cosmetics to think about would be:
- spoiler delete/typeR wing
- s2k antenna conversion
- mudflaps
- visors
- amber indicators
- lip kit
- lowering

btw is this jamie?

Injen or fujita CAI is about $250 from ebay USA. AUSD raping at the moment. DIY it with a mate, should be good fun.

My interior is stock so i dunno. I'd keep the OEM steering wheel cos it's got the airbag. Don't spraypaint the panels and shit, looks cheap. Black/grey clean look is best. Considered a headunit? Decent one maybe 200 and DIY install. You can get type R floor mats, recaros, brides.

It's Nam from noble park bro. Haven't seen you in like 2 years. Thought you died or some shit haha recognised your username

Monash clayton bro, wbu?

What's your budget on rims? Currently running steelies or cheap alloys?

Yeah lowered mine last night, sitting on king lows atm.

Why'd you buy an AUTO dc4? i regret it bad... hard to sell later down the track as well

Lol what is 'stock steelie blades'? Steelies or blades? You could probs sell off your blades for like 300 if tyres are decent. You can easily find some 16s or 17s with good tyres for 700, just keep an eye out for some 2nd hand mint ones and snap them up quick.

How much the car set you back? 43,000km farkk

I ain't got many pics of my car man, what colours yours?

funk99

blades man.
already got someone who wants to buy them haha

got it for 11k, due to the 43,000 kms.

Gonna take that shit ass spoiler off soon.

Not a bad price, spoiler delete is easy job but up close plugging up the holes looks cheap. Unless you wanna pay 300 for a panel beater to seal the holes and respray lol

I dunno if that CAI will fit, it seems like it would. Might depend on if you have ABS as well as the abs box is in the same area as your airbox and where you're gonna be fiddling around with. Ask the seller.

To be honest man, i wouldnt bother with mods on a auto dc2, just find it a bit weird to hear a dc auto with intake an exhaust lol

As far as handling goes, all dc2/4 do a good job at it, but as its auto, some of the power will be sapped simply cause the slush box, but other wise, as for mods, go a cheap CAI, ebay it, dont worry about injen or so, they are all pipes with a pod filter.....

rims, depends on ur taste and style, as said, 16's, 17's

As far as exhaust goes, Varex are still illegal, but same goes for all mods on the car lol, so everything we do is a risk

Well a good quality CAI still sounds better than some cheap fake carbon replica shit. And modding an auto dc4 is all about cosmetics and sound, so i don't see why not spend a bit more for a nice sounding intake.

leave the standard exhuast and concentrate on looks...nice wheels, coilovers and a lip...would be more appreciated than canon with intake on a auto.

What rom5 said,

don't get a loud exhaust for a dc4 auto, it sounds annoying as. Something nice and quiet with a sporty note to it would do the job better.

And go for looks more, you spend money on I/H/E you'll still struggle to beat a stock b16a.

Good luck be wise

I disagree on coilovers, dont waste your money. Basic mods to an auto car should be mainly looks and less on performance.. I'd say chuck on a front ITR lip and rear pods, then lower it on springs and maybe get rid of that wing. For an intake.. i suggest DIY style: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?143164-Mugen-Airbox-Style, feeds on cold air, works the same way as any other CAI but you'll be saving alot of money.

Like DC2-PWR said, be wise ! dont over spend !

Don't buy a single performance part. Don't buy a loud exhaust. Put it on 16/17"s, lower it slightly (don't slam it...), and try to make it a nice cruiser. Take the spoiler and rear wiper off. You want it to look good, without being noisy or having a harsh ride.

Don't regret buying an auto. It's just a decision that will dictate your car's trajectory. Keep it simple, and don't waste money, and it's going to be a nice cruiser. Congrats.

Noooo dont take rear wiper off! Its useful as fvck in the morning when your rear windscreen is covered in that ice shit! Demister dont work that well... Or fast enough imo

Lols as soon as I saw this I thought 'Nam should post in here' and there he is, almost a page to himself :D

IMO do whatever you want. If you want stiff suspension, do it. Intake, do it. Exhaust for noise, do it. Enjoyment, enjoy it. There was probably at least one person who saw the first car to start the 'JDM' trend and said 'Yo that looks gay'.

For me, I hate driving stock cars. Give me an auto or not, it'll still have a CAI, rims, lowered/coils and probably an exhaust. Because I like it - it's fun, sounds better and goes harder. Sounds crap? You're crap! Because I love modding my sh!t and to me your just pixels on the screen...

Mmm can't complain with Dougie's post aye, spot on and I guess it is a fair call. I'd do the same to be honest.

+1 rep

Loved Dougie's post. Apparently I have to spread some rep around before giving another +1 though.

If you're after some simple mods I would suggest looking in some of the traders on here.. Race Nation sells Xforce exhausts, which aren't amazing quality but if all your after is a quiet but nice tone it will easily do the job. Always some good stuff being sold for second hand on here too.

Don't regret the car you bought though.. Sure, you paid a high price for an automatic gsi but its all part of a learning curve because buying a car is a tough decision. Think about it this way.. You bought a Honda which are very reliable cars, 1.8 litre N/A = cheap on fuel, low k's (this car could keep going forever and its resale value won't be too bad) and you can't deny that its a smooth drive.

As for mods, its pretty easy to make a Teg look sexy. I reckon lower with a spring/shock combo, Xforce twin loop, 16/17 inch lightweights and a front lip. Who cares if people hate on it, its your car. Most Aussies hate on anything that's not Holden, Ford or American muscle anyway lolz

I just bought an auto DC4 Integra to get around in... 60000km on the clock, it has 14" steelies. I'm thinking of staying with 14's and putting alloys on. I've had other cars with big wheels, but never really a car that actually can take/suit a 14" wheel.

My only issues here are a couple things:

1) Tyre sizes available. What if anything does anyone know about tyres with reasonable grip on 14's?

2) keeping all things equal the benefit of small wheels is a smaller rolling diameter, provided you keep things as they are. I guess my other option in doing so is running 15's in which case I could go to a 195/55/15 and run Michelin Pilot SP3s.

It's getting to a stage where not a lot of manufacturers are making tyres to suit 14" rims. I'd like to keep it in line with factory looks rather than having 17" roller skates and then having to run rubber band tyres.

What are my options?

I guess the other thing is VTi-R coilovers... Are they a direct swap onto a GSi? Not that it needs it on 14's the car is already pretty low, I'd just like to bring the guard height down enough to match the wheels.

VTiR coils will fit. As will EG coils.

I suggest 15" rims.

Plenty of good 14" tyres out there, such as the RE002 potenza.

Thanks, there were some 14x7s I was looking at... It's good to know there are some tyre options out there. I think it may be wise to go for something a bit larger. Having the extra wheel height can also gives you more room if you want to lower your car and make the guards flush. I ran into that issue on my last car of not having enough wheel height and ended up with a defect for not having enough road clearance, old habits die hard ;)

He asked if they will fit and I answered him.

And most aftermarket coilovers will give a performance gain
