EG Cluster dancing [Archive]

Hey guys and girls
As i fix the basic problems i have a great new one....
When driving my revs, temp and fuel works fine on the Cluster
but the Speed either dosnt work or dances all over the place.
I have Checked a few forums but non have this same error, I've cleaned the sensor
New Cluster time? 190k+

mine still works fine at 320k kms - so the kms dont really have anything to do with it

possible mechanical fault on the actual shaft to the arm?

My mates old civic done the Same we changed the speedo drive on the gearbox fixed problem

I'd swap over with a different cluster and see if you have the same problem. If you do then you know it's the speedo drive. If not then you need a new cluster.

yea man will be the speedo sensor in the gearbox had it on both my egs

My VSS came in the mail today fitted myself easy but dropped the bolt a few times... (lucky i was using the speedometer app on my iphone took 4weeks)
Only cost $8 from the States.. All working fine now
