Hi, i bought a gearbox b000, the seller told me it has bad ISB input shaft bearing.
I opened the gearbox. but i do not know how to tell if the bearing is bad or not.
i can not see any missing balls in the bearing, the higher bearing in main shaft look like its moving freely but doesn't it not make sounds.
in addition the biggest gear inside when i spin it, it makes grinding sounds

My good gearbox made a well grumbly sound when it was outa car and was dry. I was under the impression that the throw out bearings other name was input shaft bearing?? According to awesome repco anyways

Then what are you trying to tell us here, that you don't want to change it?

If I were you and had that oppertunity to change something I would change it and not take the risk, even if its good or bad.

Good luck hope it sorts out bro

I want to know, how to check good or bad bearings.
I can afford a gearbox, but i want to take risk if it work or not. but i should fix it. knowledge better than money.
gears, sync, everything look good condition. so why should i get another gearbox and not to know wat is wrong with it.
change bearing and seals(if needed) with good gears is way better than unknown gearbox condition.
