squeaking noise when car is in reverse

Just in the past week my car (2004 honda civic hatch) has been making a squeaking noise when I have it in reverse. Could it be that my rear brakes need changing?

Any suggestions what it could possibly be?

First is to locate where the squeak is coming from, and specifically when its happening, when you are braking or applying the throttle?
