Hey guys, i was wondering if its possible 'unflare' the guards. I had my rear guards flared slightly, however, one is a bit wider than the other unforunately and i was wondering if there was anyway to make stick out less. Only way i have read about is to heat up the guard and to hit it slowly with a rubber mallet, but that is going to leave it uneven imo. Is there anyway possible to fix it up?

Not really. Just make the other one bigger.

Sent from my custard cannon like Peter North.

its possible, but the damage is already done, so really, depends how much u wanna spend, u could try an un roll it, but risk cracking paint or splitting it

you can't unflare a guard. flaring stretches the metal. its like crumpling a piece of paper and trying to flatten it back out

^ wtf, do you know anything on the topic or u just talking shit? "how much u wanna spend" no matter how much u gunna spend (practically) theres nothing you can do to un-flare the guards. and u can't un-roll guards too. and u risk cracking/splitting the paint when u initially try and flare out the guards...:thumbdwn:

That's why he said "depends how much you wanna spend", a bodyshop can shave the lip off the flare and reshape the guard through welding/metal-work/bog etc., so yes it's possible but it will be expensive.

Thats not really unflaring in the way the op was asking? May as well say, go buy an unflared DC5!

Op has previously stated that he wanted to run9 inch plus wheels and wants to unflare?

go ask a body shop... its been done before, so dont just assume it cant be done, u obviously havent asked or seen the results, at the end of the day, if the op has the money, it can be done

OP has stated its a uneven job! thats why his asking if its possible to reverse, but honestly OP best bet is to take it to body shop and get quotes, two ways u can go about it, cheapest, get both sides rolled out a bit more, but professionally so both sides are even, or take it back to a body shop, an let them deal with it.... trying to hit it back in would cause even more damage, best to leave it to the pros
