electric sunroof problems and central locking problems in my teg

My sunroof only friggin opens 1/4 of the way its supposed to be anyone knows why this is?? and if its easy to fix ?? or do i have to go to a sunroof place??? is it expensive to fix???... and also my central locking for passenger side is not working pproperly... it closes but doesn't open..... its pissing me off .. btw thx for ur help

Aparantly there's this small springs on the inside of the slider or something that makes the sunroof pop up, that might be causing the problem coz my mate has a DC2 with the same problem and he just got it fixed and said that it was those springs! I suggest to take it to Honda it seems to be something common.

PS: Did your sunroof shake or tremble while you were opening your sunroof before it stoped opening? coz if it did it would be those springs for sure.....

same with the central locking
remove ur trim (see www.team-integra.net for how) and tighten the two screws that hold the two metal wire things (sorry for the lack of intelligent vocabulary)

i cant help you with the sunroof.. but with the central locking... like what fried has said.. you will need to remove the inside door trim.. and have a look inside the door.. maybe just replace the actuator that opens and close the locking lactch. central locking kits are dirt cheap anyways..

Mine had the same problem , found out cos it jus needed a gd spray of lubricant!

I wouldn't know how much? :confused: he works at Honda, he must have gotten it fixed for free or something? but I will ask him how they went abouts fixing it? he some times jumps on the forums here at Oz Honda, I will get him to get in touch with ya or to post a reply so he can tell ya how to go abouts fixin this problem?

pull out your sunroof and have a look yourself, its so easy to do, it took me about an hour to remove my sunroof, and about 25min to put it back in. its a pretty basic job. best not to attempt this during rainy weather as if you broke something you cant drive to get a replacement.
Everything is pretty straight forward with removing.

Sorry to bring this thread back up.. but wondering if anyone has fixed this sunroof shaking / trembling problem when opening.. what part needs to be fixed/changed?

should just be a case of lubrication, using white lithium grease which you can get from supercheap.
