Hi :)

So, I just turned 18 :D and for my first car, Dad surprised me with an Accord Euro Luxury '03 model. Score? ;)

ANYWAYS....

So it is every mans dream to mod his car, and make it his own. SO I wanna mod this baby up ;) Problem is, I don't know where to start under the hood....

I mean, exterior and interior I've already got covered (lowering, kits, sound etc), its just under the hood that I need some advice with.

1. Where should i start? Parts/Kits and that sort of stuff.
2. Where to get? I mean I've been browsing around a bit, and found parts are REALLY hard to find.

Thanks in advance :)

defensive driving course?

Amen to that.

Start with a service, then a recall (ps hose) so your car don't catch fire... Then check your brake rotors and pads. Check if all your central locking work (If not get a quote from Honda fir door actuator/s... Then slap your self for getting a quote from Honda).

Still got money left? Sorry to spoil your party but insurance is going to rape you hard if you modify. You can mod it but you'll be paying thru the nose on insurance.

If you realllly that full of cash, get a CAI... Ice box if it rains and floods where you are, injen If you live in the desert (edit: scratch that, exposed filter illegal in Vic)

for under the hood...

small budget:
- K&N replacement panel filter (no potential issues or whatsoever)

decent budget:
- Injen (but don't drive through floods or go WOT in heavy rains) and best to check w/ VIC Roads first on uncovered intake pod..

big budget:
- GruppeM intake
- select all the performance mods listed in Heel Toe Automotive TSX (CL9) section, incl bolt on Comptech Supercharger Kit per below link

https://www.heeltoeauto.com/Acura-TSX-2003-2008-CL9-c-58.html

but remember, the more mods you put onto the car, the higher your insurance premium (unless you don't bother to insure all those mods) and the more potential headaches and $$$ evaporates from your bank when something does not go right. it's a risk that you must be aware of and accept :p

The intake is pretty hard to see just say it is enclosed they won't take off your bumper

yeah i get that. but is the intake itself illegal? i mean they'll see this big shiny part in my engine bay saying INTAKE and be like wtf is this (assuming cop has no idea about cars)

If you're worried bout legalities, the CT-E Icebox is about as stock looking as you'll get from an aftermarket intake. I sprayed mine with VHT Wrinkle Black and most people wouldn't be able to pick it out as an aftermarket part

i've had a Fujita CAI in my euro for about 4-5 months. im not too worried about legalities haha besides my car doesnt attract too much attention as it is. i was just wondering if its illegal or not.

it's illegal if it is exposed!
