Hello,

I've got a 91(nov) civic si. I recently replaced my clutch master cylinder because I've been having problems with my hydraulic fluid leaking. It seemed to fix the problem for awhile, but I'm having to keep re-filling it. I found a leak in my clutch line thats right near my slave cylinder.
Looks like this.

It's the rubber pipe to the left thats leaking.
Any ideas on a quick fix or would I have to replace the pipe. What is the pipe called and how would I replace it? :S
Also how would I adjust the clutch grab point once I've fixed it?

Thank you Ozhonda !! :D:D:D

Should be able to get it from a parts store. If not, then Honda. Its just called the clutch master cylinder hose.

Sent from my custard cannon like Peter North.

Even though its right near the slave cylinder?

Is it the rubber hose , the metal line OR the slave cylinder itself ? These are 3 separate parts that can be replaced independent of each other. Also - you state
It's right next to the slave....does this mean the rubber boot ? Inside is a small piston and a sealed cup which can leak fluid....if so , grab a new or used slave cylinder to fix

That rubber piece is there to allow some flexibility as the engine moves. Your engine mounts are probably toast too.

Threads like this remind me how much I love my cable clutch :D :D

haha. I hate you...

Its the rubber pipe. its leaking right on the seal bit on the end, sort of where its clamped onto the rupper pipe its self.
Not the slave.
Could I go down to Burson and just ask for a new clutch line? :S

Bursons might be more expensive than genuine lol, they quoted me $100 for a prelude slave cylinder trade price (aftermarket), i asked honda and they quoted me $68 trade price.

Call up honda first before bursons

you should be able to get it from the wreckers aswell for very cheap.

Bursons - non
Honda - $60
ABS - $65-70 (if they could make it)

awsomeness!

Guess I better go looking for some wreckers

Does anyone know what type of connector it uses?
for the rubber pipe?

I remember seeing a braided clutch hose for this on Honda Tech. Pretty good to replace it as old hoses will 'leak' over time due to absorption of moisture by the brake fluid used.

Threads like this remind me how much I love my cable clutch :D :DI've had 2 cables break on me.

1 - the adjustment thread wore away, don't know how but it had worn threads and just let go.
2 - the plastic/rubber stop against the firewall broke.

both instances left me driving home without a clutch.
