Ok I have been wanting to custom make my own airbox for a while. I'm looking at a similar design to the ARC airbox except for a few crucial changes.

1. The top will be sealed.
2. Instead of the filter being parallel with the top it will be on a 45 degree angle with the end closest to front of the car being on the bottom (represented by the line in the pic).
3. There will be a hole in the side (represented by yellow circle) with a hose acting as a cai to the box

Can I get peoples opinions on this design from an engineering perspective. Please no posts saying to buy an injen or informing me that cold air is better etc..

My main concern is that air entering from the side will have to change directions sharply to go through the filter. Ideally looking for a response from somebody very knowledgeable of air movement, pressure etc..

Thanks
