So my seat heater stopped working this morning as i was driving. Now I've done some searching to see if this is a common problem but found nothing.

Before i take my car to Honda I'd like to find out what the problem is first. Has this happened to anyone before?

Check the fuse maybe? or the connection might of just came loose.

Mine seem a bit dodgy. I have the switch on but sometimes they only turn on after 20 mins of driving or something, sometimes not at all. I think there must be a loose connection, that sometimes connects again when hitting a bump or going around a corner? Maybe you have a similar issue, try leaving it on for a few days.

This is O.T but how come there is a "High" and "Low" setting. Does High warm it and low cool the seat?

My 2004 Euro driver heated seat also wasn't working.
Had the car serviced every 6 months by Col Crawford to maintain a 5 year warranty. When they said the heater wasn't covered by the warranty I left it.
What the heck?. Waste of money getting high end services- and they are not cheap, then to have a not covered reply.
Moreover the side seat panel was busted when I got the car back. That was 18 months ago.
Car is still going well but since I got the recent product recall I took it back.
They declined to fix the seat saying it wasn't them that did it since they needn't take it off to look at the heater.
Well, these parts just dont fall off and I don't go round fiddling with it.
So much for Col Crawford.
If you get your heater fix make sure you ask the guy what's he going to do. It's not cheap.

Electricals are excluded, including the door actuators etc....
Most folks here don't take our cars to dealers for service anyhow.

Yes, I now know why.
Col Crawford asked me whether I wanted to change the spark plugs.
They are platinum and costs $60 each, total $240.

I resisted that one.

Platinum?! Euro use iridium, not platinum. Just get some ngk's off super cheap or something, they're cheap.

Excuse my French but... Fk the dealers.

I always thought that the euro used platinum spark plugs.

They are iridium, good for 120,000 km and also cost $120 for a set of 4. Better than platinum, which last 60,000km and cost $60 for 4.

Mega late bump

hey i know how you feel. But as i was on the way to honda a couple of months back my seat heaters magically worked again after i adjusted my seat so my guess would be loose wiring? But i'm not worrying about it now since it's getting hotter these days.

I usually go to small workshop for my services as honda charges alot for a stamp in the logbook.
