Hey guys, i've a honda integra type r late 2000 model, my car keep shaking when i drive up to 80k or higher on freeway. it doesn't shake much when i step on the gas but when i let go it start shaking again. could it be my drive shaft or wheel bearings? and i also think it could be my rims too couse i've hit the rims a fews time now and plus my suspension is leaking a little bit on both front. please help me out if anyone have experience it before. Cheers:)

p.s i've my wheel balance and wheel alignment done and it doesn't seem like it have fixed the problem.

could be that your rims arent balanced properly.. i know that highway driving with unbalanced rims it will feel like the steering wheel is shaking alot
give that a check mate.. just a possibility

Read his post buddy, he already has.

Check wheel bearings for excessive movement.

check the tyres for uneven wear, or any bumps ==. Take the wheels off and inspect

Hey man, your problem can range from many things,
simplest issue could be your discs (rotors) are warped and need machining or replacing
if not that id take a look at your CV's (drive shafts) sometimes you can tell by looking at the rubber cone around them if there torn or not
I doubt it would be the rim unless massive damage has occured to them
Ultimately it could be your wheel hub, wheel bearing ..
hope this helps dude..

wouldnt be warped disc, that will happen only when braking and not cruising.

but could be a wheel bearing.

or the tires them self. how old are the tires? my uncle had this issue on his bmw. turned out the tires he had on were old and somehow deformed and wenrt 100%

ud be suprised man badly warped discs affect the car at 100km/h upwards without braking they will shake the car inevitively. has happeend to me many times in previous cars but .. there are many factors.

as gsi_psi said I'd check for eneven tyre wear - this caused shaking in my dad's car not long ago.

best bet to take it to the mechanics if you don't know what your looking at.
