Hey guys,
im planning to buy an EP3R real soon, however i've been hunting insurance company down for how much the premium is.
Only to find out that, so far only Just car insure Import cars is that correct?
and they gave me a rough quote of 2.8k a year full comprehensive... which i think is overwhelming..
so for the existing owners of ep3R how much are u guys paying for insurance and which company? any chance to get the premium around 1.5k p.a for comprehensive?
thanks in advance !

it would help if you put your approximate age. Someone who is 30 with an EP3 is of course going to pay less than an 18 YO

Shannons and NRMA also insure the EP3R.

age plays a huge role in how much your premiums are

Just did an online quote for myself through Just Cars and was no where near $2.8k even with monthly options and modifications listed (highest it reached was $2k with monthly options and standard excess). I just turned 21 so I'm guessing you've either had prior license suspensions or live in a really bad neighbourhood to have such a high premium.

Genuine will set you back around ~$1.5k for the grille and front lip. They do pop up for sale second hand every now and then but very rarely. You can probably get some replicas from overseas though.
In reply to your previous post, I'd say Footscray is an area which is a lot more prone to crime than where I live (Airport West). That's probably the reason your quote would be different to mine. In regards to cost of modding up an EP3, it depends on what parts you'll be using and what you want out of the car. If you want a lot of KWs without spending ~$20k then this is probably not the car for you. However, if you're just looking at I/H/E and suspension parts, again, it'll depend on the quality of parts. Have a look at the traders section to see the pricing of parts offered for EP3s and it'll give you a better understanding of how much parts cost.
As a student, almost every pay cheque of mine goes towards mods.
