16 inch? really? it'll look small on a civic, on a euro it'll look tiny like the stock rims

even 17 will look small. They come from factory with 17's on the lux models

Hey I like the 17" wheels that came with the CL9 Euro Lux, they look great. 16" is too small though.

The problem is that the larger you go on the rims, the tires get ridiculously expensive. You're looking at $250 a corner on 17", and $450 a corner on 18". And once you go over 18" you have to lower the car, or the car will look strange.

A friend of mine has Continental Sport Contact 18" on his Mondeo XR5, and he's already had three fronts damaged by road debris. Literally, they are around $450 a 'pop'.

I personally don't like the look of huge 20" chrome wagon wheels with rubber band tires (and large rims look especially silly if it hasn't been lowered), and think the car looks 'right' with 17" to 18" on stock height, but it's personal preference, YMMV.

There a place on woodville rd that sells 18" tyres for around $150 each. That's where I go. They are good brand names too. Like falken and michelin.

+1

but each to their own. 20" would be all show no go on the Euro.

There is nothing wrong with 16inch wheels. And 7inch wide rims means that peterdep could fit wider 225/50R16 tyres. The advantage is a better ride and less tendency to be knocked off-line by mid-corner bumps.

The issue is the offset: At 40mm it isn't enough as stock is 55mm. peterdep might get tramlining problems and the tyres might poke out beyond the mudguards. The other thing to check is if the brake calipers will fit inside the rim.

Also, I don't think that Tirerack freights to OZ anymore.

Hmm maybe not michelin then. It was a brand that started with M, it's been a while since i've bought tyres. But definitely falken.

They should sit ok, might need 5-10mm spacers if you want them to look tough.

Oh that's quite cheap, who did you email to get a quote/order? I searched it but there are alot of distributors in different states.

What are the payment options? It says preffered wire transfer but are there any others?
