Quick Integra Question.

Hey everyone, thinking of buying a local 97' gsi Teg, but i'm just unsure of somethings. So if someone could reply with some information, i would greatly appreciated.

Firstly I've done some small research, but unclear of the engine, b18b? or 1,2? And also whats the go with 'DC2/DC4'? Unsure of those to :/

I know its a noob question but gotta start somewhere right? So thanks in advance if you provide me with some good details :)

Engine Number B18B2
VIN Number JHMDC43500S000001

DC4 is the chassis code for Integra GSI. DC2 is for VTI-R and Type R for 93-01 models. TypeR's are called DC2R, but that has got nothing to do with the chassis code/VIN. I believe it's just called DC2R to easily distinguish between the VTI-R and the Type R.

DC2 = VTiR = B18C2
DC4 = GSi = B18B2
DC2R = B18C7

93-97 = pre-facelift
98-01 = facelift

Your 97 may or may not be a facelift as i believe some later months of 97 are facelifted.

Seriously? Jdm front on a dc4? the money you spend on conversion could have got you a type r. Tbh i regret buying a gsi... Makes you want a vtir or type r. Its like having a non turbo skyline or supra lol feel so slow compared to others with same model.

Personally I like the bug eye. The DC4/DC2 Integras are all great cars IMO and look good with either AUDM or JDM front ends. But I wouldn't spend the coin on doing a JDM conversion on the AUDM models. Just take it for what it is and love it!

My brother owns a DC4 and I really enjoy driving it. It's got a nice interior and is a very pleasant car to drive, handles well and is very comfortable. With some basic mods it's a very fun and sporty car.

But if you want to chase power you are better off buying either a DC2 or DC2R because it's a better platform to start with.

Bug eyes sick... I chose it cos I didnt wanna look like everyone else on the road with rectangular headlights. 99% of people dont know wtf jdm conversion is... And think your car is an s15 or some shit. Ill agree with dougie on that the dc has amazing interior (bar the ugly seats) and the b18 is zippy enough to satisfy, just no vtec yo

Bug eyes are the shit. Not dissing the JDM front, but... Yeah, it's just pretty standard. Looks like a pre-face S14 or a Commodore. The quad headlights are so nineties, I love them.

Basically, what the other guys said. The cost of a front end job is very high, and would be better spent elsewhere.

The DC4 itself is 'sporty', not quick. It's comfortable, rides well, handles well, it's reliable, it looks good. It's a great car, provided you're not expecting a sports car.

GSi engine isnt that bad has nice torque downlow for crusing but up top dont even bother revving it out lol
