Hey guys,

My battery is on it's way out, does anyone have any recommendations for a bang for buck battery, i don't run an amp or subs, however i would like that option in the future as i've got all the equipment already, just lazy :P.

also if anyone has any recommended places for batteries on the westside of melb, please let me know!

Get a sealed deep cycle. They have the advantage of being unspillable, so you can mount them on the side of you have to. And being deep cycle means that it doesn't act like a normal battery when it goes flat or sits for a while unused.

A normal battery, you run it dead and it'll only hold 90% charge. Do it again, and its down to 75%. If they sit around unused they'll slowly die. I had a deep cycle that was unused for 2 years, put it in a car and it started first crank.

They're pretty expensive, but mine was 8 years old and still would float at 14.8volts when the car was running.

It wax an optima, but also look at exide
