hey hey i've got my young 15yr old on a first cat that is a civic or a crx nothing beside that for a first car.! if i do get a cheap wreckd civic with pwr windows pwr steering an air con... how much would that be?? or a 89 crx same thing wreckd dont care if the engine is rusted or wateva just want it 2 be a efi engine so when i change the engine that i want i dont have 2 do a efi conversion an will cost more money
but i got my mind set on a 89 or a 93 civic an replace the engine with any b18c from a vti-r an do some mods to it with the extra pocket money :D

'89 EDs will be cheaper but they only came with EFi in the US.
an ED CRX will have EFi but no back seat.

see how things go since chi has been telling me about the crx etc. with its 800kg body weight i guess it will be a good for weight to ratio power then :)
i hate the look of crx's. civic anyday

get ED6 and drop a Vtec in later. I love the look of a stock gen 2 crx just soo sexy but civic hatch will always win.
Also Civic hatch is cheaper than CRX in most cases.. leave up to you

A fair bit more than 800kilos. The USDM HF is 800kilos - thats SOHC dual-point with no power anything.

An all too easy choice mate...CRX :D Weight is around the 910kg mark for the OZ-delivered GenII version...nothing else like it on the road...drop a VTEC in there (or purchase a SiR), boost her down the track & you have yourself a keeper mate...power-to-weight ratio is on your side but traction is a bitch...keep in mind that the mileage on these pocket rockets are relatively high so take that into consideration...all the best with what he chooses & keep us updated
