Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a tune for my euro.

Now i have the whole JTUNE package being te exhaust the CAI and the hondata heatsheild.

Now i know all the options in relation to piggy backing another ecu like KPRO emange etc.

But I don't want my to loose cruise control and VSA among all the othe glitches.

Now I know of the JTUNE tune but 1200 for a flash in my opinion is rediculous.

Does anyone have the jtune extreme flash and if so how do they like it. I've read the threads prior to the actually release and people complaining about their customer service but now that its ready I want to know personal experiances from the final version.

Or any other flash alternatives available which I think are none.

If anyone else is interested in a flash post here too maybee we could work something out by the way of a discount or something.

Holy crap... you got the whole JTUNE package... dayummm... videos soon?? xD post the exhaust sound clip on the exhaust thread we have!

I think fredroops is interested in an ecu flash and so am I but I would prefer to get my exhaust sorted out before touching the ECU. I was thinking of going with the HONDATA flash.

Hondata flash is not compatible with our cars different engine to the acura tsx and ecu is different and need to take it to a dealer to get imobilizer fixed.

I tried to take videos of the exhaust but on the clip it sounds like crap lol. but in real life it sounds sweet where in melbourne u based mate you can hear it in real life lol

What mods do you have on your CL9 atm? I'm based in Bundoora haha atm.. my one is pure stock with the injen cai just coming in. Yeah so technically you can get the hondata flash and then going to a dealer to get imobilizer fixed true?

IMO not worth it.Too much negative feedback from Jtune.Get decent IHE and Haltech interceptor.with the Haltech you can lower vtec crossover too.

Can you please tell me why it isn't worth it.

All negativity was not related to the product however related to the time delay from the beta ECU to the production ECU flash.

To be honest I don't care about past experiances in relation to customer service people were just getting angry about it taking so long (which i can understand)

However a review of the finishe product has never been done to the extent I would like.

I alread have awesome headers intake and exhaust along with the heatshield gasket. I love the mods just need something to get them going IE the flash.

I'm not sure if im going to be the gunie pig but if it comes down to it i will be. Just trying to call out some JTUNE owners to get a decent review or some other options in the flashing genre. I dont want a piggy back because I also drive long k's about 1000 a week and I want my cruise control.

Again i recommend the Haltech. You dont lose cruise control or VSA.I have it and you wouldn't know it's there until you put your foot down.

I don't think haltech interceptor actually supported drive by wire throttle.....
Thats the biggest problem I have with piggybacks on the euro. According to this thread... Heltech don't control I-VTEC, and there is no drive by wire support. http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-85993.html

Now, the difference between cl9 and TSX is minimal, in theory it is cross competitable.

I remember some one in Iceland actually hooked up a TSX Hondata ecu onto a EUDM Accord (euro). I'm not talking about reflagging a AUDM ecu. I'm talking about replacing it with a USDM ecu.

Furthermore... Jtune reflash I remember IS Hondata... They send your ecu to the states.

EDIT: Heres the iceland dude who used TSX ECU on an european Accord.

Hmmm well i've had it installed on my euro for 18mths.and i have lost none of the cars functions(VSA,cruise etc.)My vtec crossover has also been lowered to 5300RPM.I have Haltech Interceptor Platinum.Maybe i have newer model.BTW Adrian from Toda did the tune.

There were a some cases where customers ECUs were fried(they were replaced)headers weren't a good fit.they rattled against the subframe.

That's good.sounds like they've sorted out all the problems that they had when they initially released it.I would still look at the Haltech.

Hold on a second... Jtune sends all their reflashes to USA.. So if they had to replace the ecu if they fried it... Then you'll be running Acura TSX ECU then! Since you can only source Acurs TSX ECU in USA.

Yer i spoke to the guys today from revzone today the authorised victorian dealer and i asked why is the price so expensive.

pretty much their words below
the reason is they have to send it to america as hondata are the only company that have the software and hardware to reflash the ECU. So the JTUNE flash is their own tune on the hondata system. That is why its so expensive which makes perfect sense because the hondata flash is about 700 i think plus 150 for shipping plus jtune paying the right to be called jtune (this may or may not occur) plus there profit.

I now accept why it is so expensive because they have no ability to reflash.

Hey mate i will definatly be looking at the haltech.

Another reason wanting the extreme package is because it is tuned for everything i have and is a bit more of a tune then the hondata flash as is designed for mild mods which is what i think the JTUNE mild flash is

Also fredoops i think what the would do is replace it with our ecu and then reflash them.

F&*^ I hate monoplies and pricing cartels...

Hondata reflash is $299 RETAIL.
I Think Jtune/Hondatech pays Hondata for exclusive right in using the Hondata system... Hence they can charge whatever they charge, and hence why Hondata refuse to support AUDM reflashes.

The RBB-QXX series ECU is not a rewritable one from what I can see (imma confirm it once I got the Honda EPC), so if they do fry one it'll be hella expansive for them if it does screw up (it's like $1200 AUD a pop).
OR..... They are using a USDM ECU hardware with AUDM/Jtune modified software... In which case it confirm my suspicion the ECU's are cross compatible.

I'm going to investigate this further.

Anyone have anything to say about the JTune mild flash nowadays? (Fred...)

i wouldnt bother - its cheaper to buy a TSX Ecu and Hondata Flashpro

roughly $1500 all up and you can change it whenever you like

Well the mild flash alone is $1050 is it not? How do they tune that specifically for your particular mods which are not theirs? I'm assuming you just send them your ECU, they 'flash' it, and then send it back?
