Hey guys, just did a quick search and couldn't come up with anything
Will be putting my current turbo set up onto the JDM d15B which is going into my hatch.
Turbo is a to4e .60 trim.
Any idea whats the most boost I can run 'reliably' on the standard d15b?
The wastegate currently is running a .6 bar spring but would it be more advisable to run a .4 or .25 bar spring? Or is it possible that the .6 will be fine?
Cheers,
Ben

your asking the wrong question. 10 psi on one turbo is completely different on another, the question you need to ask is how much power is my motor safe by, and even then it depends on the condition of your engine, Even more importantly how good the tune is

I think you should stick to about 120-130kw atw. Once people start chasing 140kw is when they start throwing rods from what I've seen on these forums so far.

the d series motor, once turboed, will let go of rods at 200hp... its the weakness of the motor. I spent 6 months researching turboing my old civic and have read enough posts, complaints, dynographs that show the push for more power and the defeat at 200hp. One of the boys here has a dyno of his d series that the wastgate pipe came off and you see the dyno graph climb up, just over 200 then drop as the motor we bye bye... so stick to below 200 hp and speak to a tuner about it and go from there!! good luck man

Fortunately you can pickup a D-series for a few hundred bucks so IMO stick to 120-140kw
