i bought these headlights for my prelude from the US,

and the globes which it says on the assembly is hb3 and hb4,

in my car atm, its got h4 for the low beams and h1 for the high beams..

is there a converter or something i can use? also if there is a bracket or something to put in place where the hb3/hb4 globes normally sit in order to put in my existing h1 and h4 globes?

cheers

please buy the correct bulbs for your vehicle.

modifying the housing or the way the bulbs are inserted (there is no such thing as a converter) in any way what so ever will alter the angle and depth in which the bulb sits inside the headlight housing, thus causing the light output to be incorrect. Rendering your headlights CACTUS.

Please re-read the first sentence.

Ohh, and if you really do own a JDM Prelude, your low beams will most likely be H4H, not H4.

H4H

I'm taking a stab in the dark but I really think i have hit the bullseye in saying......

You did buy the correct bulbs, but you bought the correct ones for the AUDM Prelude.
You have JDM which has different headlights.

maybe that didnt come out quite clear,

i brought the headlight housings from ebay, now, my current headlight assembly take h4 globes for the low beams, h1 for the high beams, and just ur standard t-10's for the parkers,

the headlight assemblies i got from ebay require hb4 and hb3 globes (as it says on the back),

i have HID'S (h4) for the low beams of my car, what i would like to know, is whether an adaptor plug or something exists so i can put in the correct globes (hb3,hb4)into the assembly with my factory wiring. sorry for the misunderstanding

but maybe I didn't make myself clear..........

If you must, you best bet would be to just order the HID HB4 globes to use with your existing ballast set. Again, no such thing as an adapter.

Aftermarket headlights are absolute fail. Low quality, ugly, blind oncoming drivers.

but whatever makes you happy.....

Regulations and requirements

Modern headlamps are electrically operated, positioned in pairs, one or two on each side of the front of a vehicle. A headlamp system is required to produce a low and a high beam, which may be achieved either by an individual lamp for each function or by a single multifunction lamp. High beams (called "main beams" or "full beams" or "driving beams" in some countries) cast most of their light straight ahead, maximizing seeing distance, but producing too much glare (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glare_%28vision%29) for safe use when other vehicles are present on the road. Because there is no special control of upward light, high beams also cause backdazzle from fog (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fog), rain and snow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow) due to the retroreflection (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retroreflection) of the water droplets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Droplet). Low beams have stricter control of upward light, and direct most of their light downward and either rightward (in right-traffic countries) or leftward (in left-traffic countries), to provide safe forward visibility without excessive glare or backdazzle.

Did you say you bought your headlights from the USA????
Don't they drive on the other side of the road? rightward......
Their headlights will shine directly onto oncoming traffic would it not.......

I'm not trying to be an ass, it just shits me when people don't know any better, I'm just trying to educate.

here is where I got all of that........

it is a good read.

I know you just want it working and really couldn't give a shit about blinding others........

but give it a thought if you are considerate.

As stated, if you really need to run your current HID set up and blind people as Bludger states, go buy some HID HB3 and HB4 globes and use you ballasts. You may need to play with the wiring a little.

PS. You should have realised that newer housings these days run H1 or HB style globes!
