As the title states.

I have a hydrolocked DC5s that had a K20Z1 in it, I now need a new engine so I was thinking of throwing in a K20A or 2. Would these engines work with the Type S ECU? I've been reading up forums in the US and they said that the loom needs to be modified. Is this true?

A JDM K20 engine is more suited to the type S computer.

You will not need to change anything. Basically its a straight drop in. Simply take out the old motor and put the new motor in
