Hi Guys,

Wondering if you can help with my stupid question, I am currently in the market for an Euro, and I think I have found the one.

My question here is the car is advertised as an 2007 Accord Euro, but when I looked at the Build date stamp in the engine bay it says OCT '06, compliance at 11/06. Does that mean its an 2006 model or 2007 cos its a late build?

Would the log book/rego papers have the correct info on them?

Thanks in advanced! :)

I would say its an 06. Both built and compliance date are 06.

Beg to differ. Honda would advertise that as an 07.

It is definitly an 06, nothing about the car was done in 07 so advertising it as so false advertising (even if it is Honda that's doing it)

ohh ok thanks guys, maybe now I might be able to haggle a bit more since its a 06 model.. Honda probably jipped the guy thinking it was a 07 car which he did buy in 2007, that's why his probably saying its an 07 lol. But it would state the actual year on the registration papers i assume...

What do you reckon is a decent price, considering we have determined it now is a 06 model. Its an euro luxury, black on black with 66xxx km on the clock. Advertised for 24k, so far i've managed to get it down to 21k but that's when i thought it was a 07 model. Remember prices in Perth are always fluctuated!

I'd say if you can get it for 19 it would be a good buy. 66xxx kms is pretty good for an 06. Redbook prices them at about 20 grand for 80xxx kms:

Btw, are you sure it's black interior? I have never seen a black euro with black interior, they all beige!

Yeah i'll try 19, but I was already having difficulties getting it down to 21. I would probably say that was lowest he would drop it to, but I'll try and get it down to 20k without making him angry lol.

I know right, i thought only the 2007 black euros had the black interior, thats why I thought it was a 07 model. But yeah I've checked the car out and it is black interior

It may have been first registered in 07 that's why it may be advertised as 07. You gotta get the car for as cheap as possible. It's your money. Who cares if you make him angry

Car is 06 since it's built and complianced 06.Because it was registered in 07 just means it was sitting on the lot for a while before it was sold.

yeah i called up honda and they pretty much stated the same thing you all said lol. Thanks for your help ppls, much appreciated.

And just letting you know, I've made a deal with the seller and agreed to pay 20.5k which i think is a decent price. Gonna pick it up tomorrow, can't wait! :D

not really doing anything radical, but mods planned:

- lowered either on springs/shocks combo or coilovers depends on how much drop i want
- euro r grill
- gruppe m intake
- the optional honda lip kit that was available or euro r front with mugen rear lip kit
- concave te37 in black (yes i want to go for the ghetto all black theme :D)

and then some minor comestic things, like darker tinting and maybe blacking out the door handles and/or the frames

but camber kits, strut bars etc may need to be looked at if i do the above

Nice going, except you can get an intake AND a header for the RRP of a groupie M lol.
