Hi all im interested to see if it was possible to have a reliable and reasonably cheap turbo setup (am I dreaming?)

I've seen on a few US web sites guys using a HF civic manifold?? im just wondering if there is an equivalent of that in australia??

I know this sounds a bit dogy but:

HF manifold ~$200
T3 ~$300
complete exhaust ~$500
medium intercooler and piping ~$500
AFC ~$400
injectors ~$400
fuel pump $???

I know I probably left a few things out, but that kind of system woulb be prety basic and just set on low boost ~6psi and cheaper than a swap and quicker most likely.

Hope this helps

HF manifold ~$200 - I'd go with a custom stainless manifold $600
T3 ~$300 - for 6psi it's not needed. Gor for a T25 for a basic street setup. Quicker spool. $600 rec'oed
complete exhaust ~$500 - You can go 2.5" cat, muffler and piping fitted $650
medium intercooler and piping ~$500 - you can get a big arse one with piping for about $700
AFC ~$400 - SAFC gen1 $180 (roughly from Ebay)
injectors ~$400 - You're can use stock Vti-r ones for 6psi (230cc)
fuel pump $??? - You can get a VL turbo inline one $200
You'll need a Fuel reg (Malpassi) $300?
Problem is now you' will need to trick you MAP sensor in reading positive pressure (Boost) otherwise you will run in limp mode. You can get a chip for this.
Plus you got all the oil, vaccum lines not forgetting to add a return on your sump. You wont need a boost controller as the T25 will have an internal gate which you can modify to increase the boost.

You have to take good care in the fueling side of things cause this is where the risk of damage can be prevented. Make sure you have it properly TUNED!!!

Poweredbyhonda - You forgot to mention the pin...
It's necessary for safety reasons when building a hand-grenade
