EG brake help

Recently, my brake light started to light up and my mechanic told me I needed a new brake pump. Brake booster or whatever its called, I dont know the exact name.

From what he says, it leaks onto the brake pedal and it'll cost about $200 to get it fixed.

If I upgrade to 262mm discs in the future, will I need to replace my brake pump/booster again?

Its a EG5 with 242mm brakes at the moment, Thanks

you can use a eg6/dc2/dc2r or ek brake booster and bmc

if you dont plan to go any bigger than 262mm just get a dc2 vtir one or a eg6

Top up with brake fluid. Is your brakes spongy?

So if Im right, I should get a dc2 brake booster and a NEW brake master cylinder? Taking in account that the dc2 is 2nd hand and would stuff up?

I've already tried topping up, it went for about a month and now the light turns on again. I suppose the brakes to feel a bit squishy :S

Another problem I face is that the brakes seem really sensitive, even before when the brake was leaking. You tap the brakes and it brakes abit more than its suppose to(compared with our other Jazz)
