Question about changing gear knob

Hi Guys,

I want to change my original gear knob from my '10 civic VTi, I have a question..

How will the shift boot lock to the new gear knob as it doesn't have that plastic thing that connects knob to boot, will i need a new boot?

You won't be able to connect the shift boot to the new gear knob. However what I did was remove the plastic bit and fold my shift boot inwards and it looks fine around my Razo RA66 knob.
