ok so i got given an ed6 for a daily - well to learn manual and ive found some CRAZY rust-infested parts all over the car. spewiing reaaaally. i dont reckon its really worth fixing up but im on holidays now and the thought of my car having holes in it is just.... sad :|

im talking a massive rust hole in the A-Pillar - like half the pillar is rusted away... what do i do? obviously the structural integrity of the pillar is at its minimum before actually like breaking into two. but i will add photos soon. just wanted a discussion about RUST.

foam it up? filler it up? chuck cement in it? weld that shit?

thanks in advance!

Weld it if you have the correct tools.

If not, get some metal filler.

I'll add some photos tomorrow morning. It's sad to look at.

umm its best to get it done professionally where they will cut the rust out and weld in some new metal.

Thats pretty bad and certainly not a DIY job unless you have a welder+experience.
