Hey guys and gals. My missus has a 96 civic sedan which has the automatically retracting aerial on the rear left quarter next to the boot lid. Anyways, its motor has stopped working so it's just permanently up. I can't push it back down at all it's stuck in place.

I'm looking to either:

A - get it pushed back down so it at least is like a small antenna rather than a massive one.

B - replace it with a new, shorter non-automatic one.

C - replace it with its normal replacement.

Probably A or B because I'm not really a massive fan of retractables anyway. Can you give me advice (beginner) on any of these options??? Thanks :)

get a antenna delete looks great just make sure u a right hand side one cause i bought a left hand side delete. . . it works but would be better if it was correct one.
remove screw
remove cover for the antenna
use a bit of strength to get the antenna and the cover seperated.
Then u can just push the antenna down or tape if close to the top if you use the radio offen or even remove it.
Than put the rubber gromet and the antenna delete and it looks great
hope it helps.

If you want to replace it every honda has the same electric antenna. All you need to do is swap the connector and the mounting brackets.
