Hey!
This question is probably the worst but, im asking which fuel should i use for this car?
its done less than 100,xxx kms
Carby, 1.5 EG 93'
There shouldn't be anything wrong filling up 98 octane for slighter performance even tho its not v-tec lol, and of course the extra mileage.
LoL.

Well. I was so used to filling 98 for smoother drive. When i had 91 in my old car i had. It was so slugish. Wouldnt want to go forward :S.
Ill see how it goes with a 1 week of 98ron. see if theres any difference.
Thanks for tip! :)

Won't make a difference between 95 and 98 on your car mate. 95 if you want to keep it clean and running smooth, or 91 if you want to save money. If it was mine I'd just use 91, it's an old engine and is supposed to be used to keep things cheap.

There are way too many variables to accurately see a difference. You cant say 91 gets less power than 95 on a carbied 1.5 because you dont know how much energy each of the fuels have, and thats the only thing that will make your power change.
And usually there isnt a difference.

It's got nothing to do with power, it's all about economy.
Sent from my custard cannon like Peter North.

When I had my 1.5L carbie, 98 made it the smoothest, but 95 got the best mileage.
95 got about 50kms more than 91 but sounded a whole lot nicer. Try it for yourself but these are the results I got. I think it's OK because it ends up costing about the same amount (back then, $1.10 for 91, $1.19 for 95).

The difference felt by people isnt due to the octane rating. The difference is very slightly because no two fuels will be the same irrespective of RON.
The fuel from the same place two weeks apart will be different, not to mention the weather, which will have more of an effect.
Driving style, traffic, weather all have an effect of fuel economy and are never the same week to week.
