How do you tell the differnce between a JDM B18C (SiR/GSR) and the B18C1 found in the Integra GS-R (DC2/DB8) ?

Stamp on engine block B18c1 will say just that, 'B18c1'
Jap spec motor will just have 'B18c' stamped on the block.
Both will have the dual runner 'snail' intake manifold.

JDM - B18c
USDM - B18c1
AUSDM - B18c2
engine stamp is down on the block between the header and gearbox

Will parts be the same ? i.e gaskets and belts will they have the same part number as a b18c2?

I would assume they are interchangeable. I havent had much experience with these dc2 variants. Although it would be fair to say 'almost all b-series parts are interchangable'. If someone can make a b20 block fit a b16 head, im guessing: sure gaskets and belts all can fit a b18c2 lol. In regards to B18c variants

Yes, B18c/1/2 parts are interchangeable.

Except intake manifold of course (and maybe fuel rail etc?), I think pretty much everything else is fine.

All these motors run the same manifold and fuel rail :)
This is the VTi-R/GSR/Si-R line of B18c's Dougie. All run the dual stage manifold.

i think dougie ment that the ITR head is different to the VTIR head etc

I know I know, that's just why I'm saying we are only talking about this line of motors, not the ITR B18c variants :)

i actually like the torque that the B18c1/2 provides in lower rpm than the ITR, it makes a nice induction sound as well - but the ITR top end and sound cant be beat
