I got a eg gli with a b16.. Now my understanding it that a jap cat has a second sensor for overheating. My car doesnt have this second sensor and my overheating cat light is on.

Does this light connect to the ECU??, as then id presume it gonna be running rich. Or is it JUST a light.

If it is just the light, ill remove the bulb, but if it goes through the ECU, id rather chuck a resistor in the to fool it.

Any info?

I can only comment from a B18C 94 perspective. The second O2 sensor in the cat area is a check on the primary O2 sensor - the ecu compares the two readings and if there is too much difference it throws the check light. I don't know if the ecu reverts to preprogrammed maps in this case, but it certainly does if the primary o2 sensor is faulty. You just might be ok. Do a search in places like pgmfi.org
