I don't see the point of blowing $1200+ for a branded catback. I paid $450 for a custom 2.5" catback with xforce muffler inc fitting and welding, and it does the job just fine.

It's pretty loud, especially during vtec, but not so bad with normal cruising. Actually got EPA'd last month.

Heres a short vid i took of mine as soon as i installed it..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLPItnqSpJE

Does the job fine in what way? Making noise?

Have you actually compared your car with other exhausts on it on a dyno?

havent dynod it yet, but u can notice more top end power compared to my previous mugen twinloop. also feels more free revving

dont quote me but i think the header+cat combo is more important than the exhaust...
i think choosing the right exhaust diameter is the tricky part

If you want optimum power, pair up your toda header with a hi flow cat, and if you want a custom exhaust, ask for something 3" stainless with mandrel bends, and ask them to make it as straight as possible. Less bends = better flow, which should = more power.

You won't be able to get them around Australia, ask someone like a Japanese parts importer (don't know which ones in Sydney) to bring it in for you, do it yourself or can contact Jesse Streeter (well know importer). Also don't bother with a KPRO unless you've done quite enough mods to make it worth wild.

a pipe is a pipe

tell that to the reputable exhaust parts manufacturers that have put many years of R & D into their systems. That's a very ignorant view.

Just go with everybody's favorite- fujistubo powergetter. They suit the dc5 nicely!
