Hey

Is it possible at all, to find out the intake temperature on my car? From what i have gathered, there is a sensor just before my MAP sensor (b16a2 for refference) that tells the computer this..

Or am I way off?

Does anyone know if its possible to attatch a gauge of some description to find out the temp?

The real indication of intake air temp , would probably be to measure right at the induction side of the inlet valves. This is because as the air goes through this final area , it absorbs alot of heat off the head etc...so measuring anywhere back is not a correct reading.

So im guessing its going to be quite hard to get a reading from the inlet valves..

Hmm..Anyone got any ideas?

Just go buy a cheap indoor / outdoor thermometre and put the probe in you airbox (before the filter would be good so it can't get ingested into the motor lol). Or if you have an aftermarket ECU, just read the temprature off the screen :p

I will be running Uber soon.. But unfortunatly i wont be able to see the temp while driving.

Oh well, it was only out of interest anyway :P

if you're running Uber you can just datalog off the ECU to get the inlet temps as seen by the factory sensor mate ;)

Uber is short for Uberdata, which is a tuning program
