Hi all,

My CRX is coming along nicely and im in need of some rubber for some rims i'll be getting they are 15x8 -4 offset.

My car is lowered and is sitting on 17x7 front and 17x7.5 rear they scrape abit but only on full lock.

now im looking for a good tyre, something that is good for daily but something i can use on the track aswell

Suggestions please.

Hey bro, hope you're well and we can catch up soon. I recommend Yokohama S Drive, great tyre for street in terms of grip, handling and wear rating.

Otherwise I have had great experiences with the RE001. Also currently using the Toyo R1R which is awesome for grip but probably no the best wear rating. A set of T1R's would go well if you can still get them.

In what size? I paid $105 a corner for 185/60/14 about on year ago, but the cost of raw materials has gone up a lot over that time, therefore tyres have gone up in price.

RE001 195/55/15
I paid $115 per corner not too long ago, great tyre in terms or grip and durability. Only been using them on the streets, haven't used them on a track yet.

As above, RE001.
Mine are only a little bit stretched onto 15x8's at the moment, but I would recommend going to a 205 to make them less vulnerable to sidewall damage.
You will also have to look into getting your guards rolled to accommodate the extra wheel width and negative offset, to avoid damaging your new tyres :)

jus wondering how do ppl get tires so cheap lol.... im finding online is around $100 cheaper than local shops

I brought my tires for $640 when new.... and i look on tirerack.com, works out to be $100 cheaper!

eg. Bf Goodrich tires: $364+250 shipping = $614 USD
= $ 572 AUD

So true. I'm just looking for somebody to buy tyres with me on Tirerack.com. You get much cheaper shipping per tyre if you get 8 tyres, than if you get 4.
