before you ask I've searched and found bits and pieces but just need to confirm
Cars an eg carby and outing in a obd1 engine
So basically obd0 to obd1
Is there any one that can guide me to wire the dash loom to a obd1
I've got a dash loom from a d16a8 from a wreck I have

If you are doing carbie to injection, so get obd1 loom.
if you have obd1 loom and obd1 engine, so it is direct swap.

dash loom if you mean by the loom where the cluster and the a/c fits then no u dont have to swap it out
only wiring you need to swap out to do the efi wiring is the rear side wiring harness that goes to the fuel pump and rear lights
and obviosuly you need to change your firewall harness as well to run the new motor and rest of the efi gear

are you still going with the D16y4 or are you using the D16y1?

are you converting the car or the engine OBD?

e
So basically obd0 to obd1

I thought all EGs were OBD1.....

just cos its carb doesn't mean its not OBD1

I'm going with the d16y4 but have changed the intake and all the sensors to the d16y1 to make it a obd1
Carbys are obs0 aren't they?
Anyone with more info regarding he wiring?

all eg 92-95 are Obd1 but Carbie has less wires than FI Cars.

yes for sure you have to change wire behind the dashboard. but will be a big pain in the ass to sort all the wires. In addition you have extra plug to the engine bay.
best thing u can do is to get Fi loom and that will save you a big amount of time.

as i said
ur carby wiring is uesless rip them all out
unless u wanna do a dodgy wireing job i suggest u rip it all out and replace every wiring from your donor car to your car
oh btw the cabin wiring im talking about is located underneathe the sound deadning under neath the carpet
u need to rip that out the access the wiring harness

that main harness is the wiring harness

the op has posted asking for help with this swap several times now, let me help clear a few things up...

the original car is a carby EG civic,
the engines he has aquired are a D16y1 and a D16y4
he is trying to install the D16y4 using a combination of parts from the D16y1 and the original carby

let me state the problems so far...
A. the D16y4 is a pain in the ass to swap
B. the D16y4 is also from an EK - its a type of 0BD-2 but a strange one
C. non of the parts from the other engines will be of much help for the D16y4
D. both the carby and the D16y1 are 0BD-1 ...

in my opinion ... sell the D16y4 and install the D16y1 ... its a much better engine, more parts available and cross compatible, its 0BD-1 so it will be easier to do the wiring and it has vtec and better performance than the D16y4
