Unfortunately, there are no DRL's. The horizontal strip thing is just for show with no leds or light behind it.
Indicator bulb is on right near the grill, active corner lights on the outside where the indicators used to be and a bi-xenon main headlight.
This headlight is only on the JDM Type S, AUDM Luxury Navi, UK Type S models.
Maybe the UK version might get it since the DRL are now mandatory in Europe.

As per Anthony mention Honda australia website updated the picture for new euro

Dislike: The grille - yes the current CU2 one I like better.
The tailights - having a pink tinge instead of being clean white.
Neutural - The bumper is meh.
- Rear chrome highlight, good for a black/darker car. For Milano Red, no.
Like - The facelift headlights on the the base/luxury model.
The facelift headlights on the Euro Navi looks much better on the website with the blue part seeming to be illuminated somehow? I'd have to see one in person.

I had a good look at the motor show last night, and the Euros attracted a lot of attention,as there were prople in them constantly.
The facelift is VERY minor,IMHO the only diffirences are clear front indicator lenses and slightly revised grill,as well as chrome strip on the boot.
But the car looks the same, just a bit fresher, but just as good.
The Red one looked HOT,Grey looked the same colour, although its a new shade.
After looking at all its competitors,I am still convonced the Euro is best, for me had the most appeal by far in its segment ...

If you check these forums for when the CU2 came out in 08, I'll bet a
lot of CL9 owners prefered their car's looks, at the time. Give it some time,
and we'll start to like the face lift as well.....its still a fantastic car.

I agree with antony, financially it is better to put the money towards the Update, any money you spend on cosmetic or other modifications is dead money when the time comes to sell. Sure it is only a very mild facelift, but integrated Bluetooth & USB conectivity is a bonus as well as additional sound deadening, revised gear ratios or ECU upgrade to improve economy slightly are all bonuses.

it all depends...buying the updated model brand new will lose you couple of grand ones you drive it from the caryard....and the price difference between the value for the car and the new one is a big factor to think about as that can be quite a bit...
all the minor upgrades are not justifiable to upgrade considering the money changeover involved.
well...i hear you can get the clear indicator headlights like the updated one for $800-900 for the pair delivered. As opposed to $1500 for just one headlight.

The 9th generation should be released in OZ in late May or early June 2013. Earlier in the USA. Not much hope of early spyshots as Honda is very secretive. The spyshots for the CU2 only made an appearance just before the TSX was released in USA.

I'm Asian myself, I'm just saying that the legend appeals to the Asian market more than the Western market. However, when it comes to the 85k price tag it's more economical to buy a baseline German car so all your friends can be like oooooooh loook at that badgeeeeeeee, rather than psh Honda without them knowing that the legend cost more in the first place.
EDIT: That comment wasn't intended to be racist as I know most if not half+ of the Ozhonda community is Asian as well.

Don't know what race has got to do with it unless its on a track...that's a big call to make about the Ozhonda community. Has there been a poll taken on that.
And again the only poll that matters is "pole position" which is still on the track...
That sound cancelling system in the Legend is fantastic and beats most for having a quiet cabin IMO
The Legend just seems to appeal to older drivers (probably cause they can afford it).

I CU2, i am not sure you did offend anyone by quoting "Asians drive legend".. I can't see anything wrong in that.. MOstly people says here Indians(or we categorized as south asians) drive Toyota and most peole here named the Toyota either camry or corolla as "Curry Car".. When other community people says us, we just take it as joke and don't take it seriously. Personally i don't think anything wrong with you mention, you just quote which category people drive the car anyway.. I am not sure this may offend some sensitive people here? However if someone swear with those words saying with "asians" or indians, yes that i would take as offensive..
When generally speaking people says mostly Aussies drive Holden or Ford, Asians drive Honda, Indians drive Toyota. I think this is just to categorize which community people mostly drive these car brands....
I just mention this comment based on how i see things here in australia in the past 13yrs and i get along with most community people here. What i mention may be wrong..
Please someone correct me if this wrong..

Yes, that's the way I saw it too. It is highly stereotypical though, but that's how I also see it in real life. I honestly didn't mean to offend anyone.
I went to Vietnam a few years back and the market was dominated by Honda's even though they had a Mercedes manufacturing plant there.
They're popular here as well because of the brand association back home, which is why the Legend would appeal to them. To others, the allure of the BMW/Mercedes badge leads them to purchasing C200s/320i's. The badge status shows that you're successful, that would be boosted by paying a few grand extra for the plates: 888888888. It doesn't matter if you drive a 7 series or S class, as long as you have the badge.
Though race doesn't play a large role in choosing the brand of car you drive, it certainly does have an influence.
EDIT:
Keep editing this post as I see that people take comments here more seriously here than at Whirlpool.

They know toyota is reliable and economical, so most average people go for it. . In my country if you are a rich person, you also have to have a Merc or BMW along with few banglos.. However don't just think every people drive BMW or Merc are very rich here. Here in AUstrlaia the flexibility of home mortgage or finance will allow you to buy it..
For me i bought Euro CU2 mainly it is cheaper than IS250 or BMW 3 series and got all state of the art safety features. Plus honda the cu2 is a rebadge of usa luxuary line acura...

Kumho KU31 @ $250 each is a budget quality... it's not really comparable to Michelin at all. but for street use, it should be ok... but it's not suitable for the CU2 imo as the Primacy HP is very quiet but the KU31 will get noisy according to Top One.

Firstly, you have a point..the primacy are a top tyre, but Ku31 still rank very highly in its class. Also, they are 220 on ebay, even cheaper than I thought. I don't know who Top One are, but I can attest that ku31 are not loud as I have.
Also looking on ebay you can get contisport contact 2 for 261 each in 235/45. No way I could ever justify the extra 500 -700 a set for michellin.

yes, i bought a set of Michelin PS2 in 225 40 18 fr Tirerack in April for only <AU$1000, locally it's $370-$540 each. the tyres arrived at my place in 5-7 working days :)
what's illegal is if you use the wrong tyre on your car, eg: using <98 load rating on the CU2 for 18".
a set of the Conti Sport Contact 2 in 235 45 18 should be under <AU$950 landed.
but with tirerack you have to contact them directly to make an order and it's cash only for Aust buyers, here is salesperson i dealt with:
Roger Laughlin The Tire Rack [Roger@tirerack.com]
i also have bought 2 sets of Enkei rims from USA without any dramas.
some journalists mentioned that tyres for overseas market may be made of different compound and blah blah and not suitable for our road conditions... this is correct if you buy a snow tyre and try to use it in Brisbane or Cairns.
other than that, i can't see any justification to their comments if i buy a Michelin Pilot Sport 2/3/Pilot Super Sport or Conti Sport Contact 2/3/5 or Yokohama Advan AD08, and use it daily in Sydney.
Yeah the BMW's run flat tyre cost $650 a corner. While to justify, whoever drive a BMW (Bloody Money Waster) should know what gonna bite him later... Er... that is why I drive a Merc... no? :p
wait til you move up to a Porsche Cayenne :p
a service costs at least $800, and then up to $3000
a 21" tyre replacement costs $1050
weekly petrol bill.. 2-3 times of the CU2?

Conti are used as OEM by Merc (check out the C class, most have Conti Sport Contact 3), Renault and VW.... but haven't seen any Japanese / Korean / Australian cars use them as OEM :p
I would have thought Honda don't choose tyres randomly... it's a different case with VW Golf cos they make heaps more cars to cater the worldwide market.
Wealth of reviews on tyres (some comments are clueless though.. eg: ppl complaining on summer tyres having no grip on snow):

The CL9 16" came with Dunlop Sp Sports and 17" was Bridgestone Potenza RE040 (2004 all the way to 2008).
My guesstimate is that the CU2's seen with different tyres would probably have had tyres replaced locally..
anyway, i think i'm a wheel and tyre whore :p

Cl9 also came with michellins, both lux and standard back in 2003.

YOu may be rite, they locally change tyres here, but why they change it? Or may be it comes from factory different tyres for different batch?

Guy's
My understanding (and this comes from others in other threads) is that for the CU2, the base model wears Yoko Decibels (17's) ex factory whilst the Luxury and the Luxury Navi wear Michelin Premacy's (18's) ex factory.

Have a look at this headlight pic from netcarshow pics database of the newly updated Euro lux nav. You can clearly see DRL's are there, however this is probably a European Accord Euro where DRL's are mandatory. If we do not have them on our Euro lux nav's them we may be able to do a retofit of some type...?

OMG MILANO RED <3.

I'd like to see the DRL's switched on though.
Unfortunately, there are no DRL's. The horizontal strip thing is just for show with no leds or light behind it.
Indicator bulb is on right near the grill, active corner lights on the outside where the indicators used to be and a bi-xenon main headlight.
Maybe the UK version might get it since the DRL are now mandatory in Europe.

yes, i bought a set of Michelin PS2 in 225 40 18 fr Tirerack in April for only <AU$1000, locally it's $370-$540 each. the tyres arrived at my place in 5-7 working days :)
what's illegal is if you use the wrong tyre on your car, eg: using <98 load rating on the CU2 for 18".
i'm planning to get tyres from tirerack too, and I'm wondering if there are any extra taxes or import duties involved. The price of a set of tires should cost about A$650, well under the GST threshold. Are they any other taxes involved?
thanks.

technically any personal import under AU$1000 (based on exchange rate they use, not what you pay) excluding shipping costs, is not subject to custom and gst. that's my interpretation of the info below:
http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page5549.asp
however, i've been buying things fr USA (tyres, wheels, high flow cat downpipe, h&r sway bars, etc..) and kept them under $1000 with the shipping just to make sure i don't pay extra 15% of customs & gst.
just a note, some tyres the savings can be up to 50% of local price yet some are only 0%-20% cheaper.
eg: continental sport contact 3 in 225 40 18, 92W, landed from tirerack is around US$1058 + $50 bank fees + $60-$80 fitting and balancing = au$1122. locally from Taleb / Tempe Tyres the same set would cost $1000-$1120 fitted and balanced. (i think they must be getting pricings from Conti Aust).
but local retail for Michelin PS2 is $540 from Jaxquickfit and best quote i got was $370 each / $1480 a set. I paid AU$998 for a set landed.

Does the PS2 > Conti Sports?
What about in comparisons to the HP?
How did you pay tiretrack with this bank wire thing?

The PS2 should be similar to Primacy HP, thread blocks and wall thickness are similar. but the PS2 does not come in 235 45 18.
i think you are looking at the Conti Sport Contact 2, $656 for a set right?
i had Sport Contact 2 in my previous CL9 and Mk6 Golf 118TSI, and was pretty happy with them. they were grippy in the wet. was a bit noisy when new but became quieter as they were worn in. ride comfort should be similar (only 1 layer of ply on the wall on the Conti SC2 and Michelins PS2 / Primacy HP, meaning softer sidewall).
I'm currently on Advan AD08 and it has steel insert on the wall, very sharp steering response, a bit noisy and ride is bumpy but i like it :D
also, being non directional it means more options when rotating them around.
with directional tyres once you get feathering effect / sharp edges on the threads they become noisy and hard to fix, eg: Kumho KU31. with non directional, just flip them around to smooth out the sharp edges :p

I don't like the grill being smaller, but cleared indicator lens and the new bumper look more sophisticated.

Yes, look at the civic on the right, you can see that there is some partial covering still on the wheel.
The wheels are protected with a plastic cover for transportation. Honda have been using that design cover for years.
Imo the smaller grille is quite an improvement. Thanks for the pics!

Is there any info if Honda has upgraded/changed anything in the speaker department? I know that was a bit of a sore point among the CU2 owners on here and was wondering if there had been any changes for the MY12 models?
