i have a 95 integra vti-r looking in the future for a front end conversion, was just wondering if it was possible to change the front end to a JDM spec teg without the round lights.

if anyone could give me some details on the total price and wat i need, front bumper, lights, side panels ect. for this conversion that would be very helpful.

thanks :D

If your talking about the JDM integra front then it wont be round lights anyways. Its the long rectangular shape lights.

You will need, bonnet, both fenders, headlights, front bumper, radiator support.

no.. im not interested "yet", im just thinking of doing it.. but im sure places like n-1 would do these conversions.. becos when i was shopping around for my front bar i went to n-1 they only had jdm kits.. damn expensive.. but very good quality

$2000-3000 give or take a bit. Rather spend that money on lambo doors.

New bonnet, fenders bumper, lights etc. :thumbdwn:

Doubt n-1 probably would do it. They're a mechanic workshop, not body kit place. Jetspeed or somethin of the likes would be alot more capable and inclined to do it. n-1 stock JDM kits because they're one of the few places in melb who actually supply ORIGINAL Japanese kits, not just cheap Taiwanese rip offs. If you want C-West and have a fat wallet, they can be your friend.

5gs for the 1/2 cut WITHOUT an engine? Tell him hes dreaming. Im with spermz, figures ive heard range from 2-3 Gs. I dont think its as simple as just a bolt on job. Some modifications need to be made... ask BADHBT

Theres quite a few JDM ITRs in melb, condition of them *no comment*. I know of a few that arnt tip top. Id prefer an auspec ITR with full service history and being mechanically sound than an unknown JDM ITR likely with issues.
A guy I know use to work at the exporting docks in Japan, and there is a reason why the cars we get imported are exported (in alot of cases)

just buy a full JDM front cut with engine, then do the conversion, stick the jap spec b18c in there (or sell it) and sell off the rest of the goodies to recoup some $$$, front cuts can be bought for ~9-10k, did a bit of research when I was looking at doing the same thing you are.

Jap connection in ingleburn (NSW) had jdm ITR front end with HID headlights for sale for $2000, and apparently they get a few of them, he reconed about $1500 to fit it with cut n shut radiator support, and respray the guards, bonnet, and bumper

not a bad price me thinks

I cant agree to that. If anything get the car checked out for any problems, if its a piece of shiet then dont buy it.

My friend and I half the JDM front end..

We just tried fitting the front to his DC2R

The guards fit with minor mods, but we got caught with the bonnet
JDM is longer... :(
It fits, but sticks out too much...
The headlight support also needs minor mod.
If you can work out the bonnet then the rest is fairly straight forward..
Still thinkin on how we should get the bonnet to fit without cutting anything...
Will keep you posted on how we got..

All the information you need is here

If you are really intending to do the JDM swap and you have the parts, I can point you in the right direction in which way to go about it because I know whats involved in this conversion....

This i dont agree with.. i had a full kit on my round headlight integra.. it looked mint, but the best investment in the integra was the front conversion.. it looks so much better...

Ohh, hi and thanks for hellpin.
i wanted to know a few things.
1 - what bulbs do the black surround JDM lights take. [ low beam, high beam, fog light]
2 - every single item that i need, to do the JDM spec front end.
3 - if you could, individually price the items, if not the rough price YOU paid as a kit.
Thanks, I'll post up more questions as i can think of them.

Regards Bau

theres a place where they sell everything for the conversion excluding the headlights for arond 2k.. i was told that u had to either get headlights from overseas. i looked around for abit and could either only get front cuts (w/o engines), in bad condition, or the non HID lights which went for about 400US... considering that its around 3k for parts give or take + labour *unless ur gna do it urself*

so reality speaking 3k for aesthetics.. dont think its worth it.. unless u get into an accident. then it does become a better option..

1 - depends on which front end u get. Pre 98 is your standard headlights using HB4 bulbs, 98+ use HID headlights which are 9006 bulbs.

2 - you need radiator support, headlights, front bumper (usually come with lip anyway), bonnet, side fenders, and front scoop/grill

3 - Hard to narrow down a price for this, most here ppl tend to sell the complete front end for roughly $1500 on average. Thats just for the kit, so factor in costs for fitting + respray. Purchasing/importing these parts from overseas is a different story altogether as far as pricing goes.

hb4=9006
they are the same bulb

yes that's true, but generally halogen bulbs are labelled HB4, whereas HID's are often labelled as 9006. Just providing both options for those who are curious, depending on if you get the HID or non-HID headlights.

did they use the radiator support to put it all on? There shouldn't be a problem fitting it all on.

Which reminds me, the only problem you would encounter if you got the HID version of the front end, is you might have to rearrange a few things inside your engine bay, i think it was the ABS, as the ballasts for the HID's is behind the headlight, and takes up more space.

check the traders on the forum , some might have some, just ask in the WTB .
they are average to come by, it just it cost more than regular parts.
check some wreckers or even better wreckers that specialise in hondas etc.
good luck

u need two side fenders, front bar, bonnet, lip, lights, and radiator support. then u take it all to a smash repairs or body shop and they remove all of your old gear including radiator support and weld the JDM one on.. after that all the panels go straight on, rub down and nice matched re-spray and your set... in my opinion i say its defiantly worth it.

ive seen some for sale on ebay for around 1500 and spend about double that or a bit more onto getting the whole thing done
