What you do for a living :

What’s the story behind your car :
It's my wife's daily driver and we're doing upgrades to it bit by it. It's a great car, it's fun to drive, not overly expensive to modify and MX5s in general are very reasonable to buy
Why did you choose the Advan Neova tyre , what do you like about them most :
They're a fantastic tire because we can comfortably drive the car every day
Current car mods :
Intake, Exhaust, roll bar, Torsen diff, basic brake upgrade, seat and harness, lowered springs (stuffed shocks, bushes)
Future mods :
New suspension, quad throttle bodies, engine build (compression, head work, cams), Adaptronic ECU
Current PB time :
1:16.1 not recorded (1:16.3 in Neova Cup)
Target time :
1:12s would be nice with the car still full street weight, but we're happy to progress bit by bit.
What do you think the secret is to getting a good lap time:
Horsepower and handling do help, I'm a firm believer that smoothness is the key, get the braking and turning right and you'll get good times.
A message to keen competitors who would like to join in:
This competition is great because there's no pressure on the entrants. You don't have to be anywhere at a particular time, you don't need to have a car that has to be trailered to events, you don't even need to plaster your car with stickers. The other bonus is that it's a great excuse to put better tyres on your car. It'll be better on the track and on the street; it's a win win situation.
