a 82' honda accord with a ****ed carb, and other than that and a little paint do you recon its worth it for a $100 project car, will it cost a bomb to fix?, (oh and it needs a air filter) it will cost a little to tow here (its about 1Km away)

someones trash is someones elses treasure :)

depends how mechanicly inclined you are, if you fix it your self then it sounds good, if you have to pay someone else, dont bother

Usual Suspect

i drive a 1983 Honda Accord and id say porbably not. I mean its cheap and stuff but it depends what your intentions are. What are they?

my intentions are, (if i buy it) get it to my house, get some mechanically inclined mates to show me how to fix it, get it going and possibly do it up to a good condition and maybe even road worthy it and drive it for a bit then sell it!

BTW i got a mate thats a panel beater/painter, and several mechanic mates (all apprentices)

and is it easy to turbo a carby fed car (using a stock starion turbo (or similar) and custom manifold etc)

i grauntee that the EL1600 found in that car will not take any decent amount of boost, n if ur tihnking engine conversion, dont bother, way to much custom work to be done. The enigne mounts all need to be custom fabricated, and then the running gear will have to be completely custom me thinks, no one has even got that far. Plus EFI conversion, to much hassle for the end product. For conversion a civic chassis is better to use, even though they dont look as good :D

wont be worth much either, a good nick one brings in about 2000 max.

usual suspect, i wasnt thinking of doing an engine swap, just using a starion turbo (my mate upgraded his) on the accord engine, fixing the carby and making it a sleeper (not to quick but it will get some looks) according to guys brother that owns the accord it does high 14's down the quarter so it must have somthing more done to it than just the pod (that he took off)

high 14's? not to offend ur judgemnet or whateva, but on an el1600 thats absolute bs imo.
