Sunroof question

Hi everyone, im new to this forum and before i get flamed i have searched the forums for my problem. Okay so i own a 99 dc4 and i just recently came across a problem. i have the same problem as this guy but i dont know what grease to use as i dont want to use the wrong one and stuff it up. Also ive searched about my sunroof button as mine sits on the roof, apparently its an aftermarket one, can anyone clarify this please. Thankyou in advance

Yeah, I'm wondering about mine, too. The sunroof button is between the sunroof and the rear-view mirror. It's a '99 DC4. I heard that the '99 ditched a sunroof for ABS, so does that mean that mine is aftermarket?

I have a hunch but i might be wrong here so dont quote me on this. I think honda put in a aftermarket sunroof to get more sale as the gsi was the base model and was hard to sell? Idk just thinking

Ive got aftermarket sunroof on my GSi, the button is next to steering wheel. My sunroof also sticks out a little bit at the top compared to the 'factory' one which is smooth with the roof.

Where did you find the brand name?
Mines missing a sunshade and it stopped sliding back

Ive got same brand as Indie. There's a little sticker in the corner of the sunroof with that symbol ( /\ ) and a manual in the glovebox. I can't recall the name either cos it's weird but something like HASPUTO

Mine must be the same as well. When i bought the car it didnt come with any manuals. Charliebrown do you know where i can find one of these manuals i will be working on the car this weekend so i want to try to fix the sunroof or just see whats wrong with it.

Pretty sure with the facelifted gsi the sunroof from factory became an option like it was with AUDM DC2R's? Try giving it a clean out and greasing, its a massive pain in the ass though.
There are a lot of possibilities of what could be wrong with it man, try taking it to a sunroof specialist or Honda. I have had bad experience with Honda though so just be careful they aren't trying to rip you off hardcore.

Just took a look at my sunroof and in the middle rear end of the glass (closest to the rear of tje car) it says sekurit or tirukes idk which on it is as im reading it from inside the car. Tomorrow i will call a sunroof specialist to see what they reckon the problem is.

Haha... I'm guessing it's 'Sekurit'. You know, as in 'secure it'. ;)
