Hey guys!

i know there is a few threads about this topic already namely:
Link 1 (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?113535-dc2r-sunroof&highlight=DC2R+sunroof) and Link 2 (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?113535-dc2r-sunroof&highlight=DC2R+sunroof)

just wanted to clarify all the points about the Type R's having sunroofs
Jeff probably noted down the best points and ill just recap on that

DC2Rs never came with a factory sunroof (refer to VTiR sunroof fitment/look and feel/etc) and it was a Dealer option

sorry whoever i stole this image from, straight from google)

ok so the clear difference I think would be the curvature of the roof itself
As for my type R sunroof, the glass is a flat straight glass, where as the DC2 sunroof follows the curvature (the glass itself curves) aline with the roof making it look like a one piece.
There are many ways to tell if a sunroof such as roof lining and as many stated, the honda tag on all original glass (mine has another brand on the actualy sunroof so itself is the giveaway that its an aftermarket)
Having said that though, I was assured that the car did come with a sunroof when purchased from factory, many ways of seeing this as well, one of them could be the paperwork if you manage to get hold of it when purchased from Dealer.

In conclusion from what i've gathered, DC2R's didn't come with a sunroof that was built in the factories of Japan, but put on either in its earliest stages of life or sometime during its life

ill include other photos of my sunroof as well just out of intrest :D

For the switch i've had a few ups and downs, ive been told its meant o be on the right hand side or whatever, honestly don't have a clue where the genuine sunroof switch is..

but thats all, sorry for reposting!
hope this helps anybody that needs the help

Good post man. Also the aftermarket dealer option sunroof, the glass is very thin compare to the factory oem ones on the vtir

That's what I have on my DC4, I think. It definitely doesn't sit flush with the roof, which is a slight shame, but I'd rather have an aftermarket sunroof as well as ABS than just have a factory sunroof.

Here is the location of the factory original DC2 VTi-R sunroof switch. It's directly under the right side a/c vent.
