Hi all
My H22a M2B4 gearbox is coming off this week.
anyone know who rebuilds these and how much?
also is it worth it or just buy another gearbox for my h22a
My engine is a 92-96 model from japan.
will a t2t4 fit??
any help would be great.
I am in sydney.

Also should i fit a new flywheel?
already have a new Exedy clutch put on 15000kms ago

Well, 'Newcastle' Gearbox and Diff replaced all seals, cleaned the entire box and replaced both carrier bearings aswell as fitting an LSD (that i supplied) to my F22A box (Same thing, different ratios basically) for $450.. Which is quite good.
Unless you're crunching gears and whatnot, there is no need to fully reco your gearbox (And if you are, reco is better than secondhand..Won't be as cheap, but you'll never have another issue)
I'd imagine prices won't vary too greatly, finding somewhere in Sydney shouldn't be hard.

H22A gearbox is one of the better ones out there, idk what a T2T4 is.. But i'd stay with the H22A Box.

If your clutch was installed 15,000kms ago professionally.. They'd have made sure the flywheel was okay/or machined it.
If they didn't touch it hopefully it's because it was fine.

I just spoke to my mechanic to check on the flywheel and my clutch to see if it was put in properly.
Also going to have the gearbox checked as it sometimes crunches.
Hopefully all is good but who knows.
Think the mechanics i took my car to previously were dodgy.
So hopefully this fixes everything once and for all.

Will a t2t4 fit my 92-96 model h22a motor????

all H and F series (except s2000) boxes are interchangable.

Awsome
So any h22a box from any year model will fit my motor???
cause that would be awesome.
What is the best gearbox for N/a application
should i rebuild My M2b4 gearbox now or just get another better gearbox??

But, note that the H22A and F22A boxes have different stud patterns for the Gearbox Mount.. You will need to drill and tap to relocate the studs (The position is marked, just has no hole currently)

H22A is the best option imo.
Alot of F22A owners swap to H22A gearboxes because the lower ratios, more acceleration and less rediculous top speed (9,000rpm on an F22A box is around 330km/h lol) which is completely unusable.
