HID Lights 'Warm Up" -Is this Normal?

Hi guys,

just installed a 6000k HID kit Brilliante Brand.

When i switch them on, they seem to go full brightnness just for a fraction of a second, then they drop down in brightness and then 'warm up' until they are at full brightness.

Once 'warmed up' they dont flicker or anything, and they remain at the one single steady brightness.

The 'warm up' process only takes about 4-5 seconds.

i just wondered if this 'warm up' process was normal for HID Lights? Do you guys know what i mean?

yes it is 100% normal.

They work in much the same way as a fluorescent light. (they have to warm up too)

Yep, same as mine. How good are HIDs :)

Is the brightness adjustable? These ones dont seem as bright as my old ones

I don't think brightness is adjustable.

Very very happy with the colour and quality of the kit.
