Hi guys ,
i have few problems and need some advice
first , if i'm changing to 3rd gear on high rev (like 4000rpm +) it's crunching , but changing to 3rd gear below 4000rpm rev , seem to be no problems
second , whiling driving or cruising on 4th gear , the 4th gear just popped out , it happen couple of times , not all the time tho
any ideas what wrong with it ? and how to solve the problems ?
Thanks in advance
cheers

First issue is synchros
Second issue could be shift linkages
Sent from my custard cannon like Peter North.

Replace the complete 3rd/4th gear synro + hub sleeve + selector sleeve. It'll come complete if you buy from Honda.

Probably looking at $800-1,000 if you pay for OEM parts + labour at a tranny mechanic.

Private seller. If he says it's fine, then it's fine IMO. Knows his stuff well.
Otherwise B16A box is $600-900 in otherwise unknown condition.
If it was my box I'd either get an ITR box and do a hydraulic conversion, or just fix your current box because then you know it'll be sweet for a long time provided you care for it properly.
