Will Honda CRX EF Rear Fit on CRX ED?

Does anyone know if the JDM Rear seats from the CRX ED fit on the Honda crx ED9?
And if so what part do i need to get ? i got link from ebay for the set but not sure if it fit but or need any mod

Ok I bought what I thought was a complete JDM EF-8 CR-X Back seat install back in january... and I hadn't got around to it until now. I took all the interior out and then realized the seller didn't include the seatback lower pivot mounting brackets. He included the pivots, just not the bracket (because it is welded or riveted into the car and must be drilled out, it is commonly left out of seat conversions for sale).

So we went ahead and flush welded in two bolts for the seat belt clasps and then mattminer was nice enough to loan me some of the brackets so we could make some replacements. The originals are stamped but the replacements will be welded out of individually cut pieces. My friend is doing the work, and yesterday he made some templates and cut out the pieces on a waterjet! The holes are there in case you want to rivet them in (we'll probably weld them). If there is interest once these are assembled and fitted and confirmed to be the correct size and shape etc we will make some more brackets for others in need.

The brackets have been welded together and they look great and fit great!

Welded in the same size M6 nuts too. We'll weld them into the car and complete the seat install over the weekend.

The wires to the release pins are different... one is bent and thus shorter and at an angle. Part of that is because the corner of the seat metal is bent also

I bent the corner back so that it was aligned better and also bent the release pin wires so that they're identical in shape and length. Then using some grinding attachments and a sanding flap I removed much of the rust. There was still a LOT of rust, so I applied an ample amount of rust converter. Here's a pic after the rust converter did its job

Finally installed my back seat! Welded in the mounts sunday and finished installing all of the interior last night. Here's a teaser pic of the install from the bracket and lap belt welding

Don't worry about that smoke its just the undercoating on fire. What could possibly go wrong welding close to the gas tank?

So I was planning on welding in the same 7/16th bolts for the other side of the lap belt as I did for the clasping side but then I found these awesome flanged bolts that would allow cutting a hex hole just large enough for the bolt to squeeze into and make for a much easier welding process and stronger welds.

Cutting the hole for the bolts, if you look closely you can see the hex outline. I'm going to use these bolts when I do my b-pillar seatbelt conversion.

These bolts aren't going anywhere. So when you get in an accident, although you may be squished completely because of the unsafe nature of the back of the CRX, your seatbelt will still be secure

After the welding was done I sanded down all of the oxidation and roughness and applied new seam sealer to replace the section that burnt off around the lap belt bolts. Then I primered and painted the brackets and bolts. I will be applying the undercoating to the spots it burned off of in the next week or two.

OH wow.. very nice DIY but by the look of it.. looks kinda hard for a noobie like me! and there no way i can and learn how to weld.. farr :( there isnt a easy way?

That's the only way ....I've done it twice...you will also need to get an engineers certificate because on you compliance plate your car is only a two seater

you should not just weld nuts for the seatbelts into the car. If you ever have an accident and someone is sitting in the back, there is a high chance the belts will pull straight through the sheet metal. The way to do this properly is to weld a small steel plate where you will be fitting the belts, so the belts will not pull through the thin sheetmetal. If you look at a crx with oem rear seats you will notice they have a plate welded in where the belts are bolted to.
