Shouldn't have a problem with the drain back IMO because the turbo will be pushing the oil out at a higher pressure than the oil already in the sump :)

no it wont Win, the oil just drains out. Its not pushed out by pressure, so you have to make sure the line is big enough and its above the oil level.

Just put the drain back high up on the sump and you wont have any worries.

Cant remember the oil fitting now though off the top of my head so dont wanna throw guesses at you

I just called pirtek to come out and take care of the oil feed and return lines. Costed about $90 done in high temp reinforced silicone hose.

I think this is right. The oil is under pressue going to the turbo, so it has to return to the sump under pressure. If your loosing pressure, then there is a leak somewhere. Therefore it would not matter if the return was below the oil level in the sump. Still put it as high as you can on the sump.

drains are gravity fed...basically the oil goes into the turbo, over the bearings and flows out down the drain (remember the drain is larger than the feed line also). It isnt pushed out by the oil coming in. If you put it below the oil line you can have the situation where it doesnt drain fast enough and you could blow your turbo's seals because of the extra pressure.

Thats the reason the drain is always placed above the oil level and the drain has no large bends in it and points downwards at all times

yep you are 100% correct. it always must! be above the oil level.
