Heyy you s2k guys (and girls).

Ive had my DC5 type r for almost 2 years now and i adore it, but i do get bored quick, and with cars, it seems like once ive done everything to something ive wanted to do, the complete project is due for departure.

Thus, im considering going from the integra dc5 to a s2000.

My question is, has anyone gone from a 4seater to 2seater. How do you guys find it without the seats, like is it heapps inconvienient haah.

P.S this is assuming i get about $23,000 for my integra, (which i hope should be too hard at 89xxxkms), and ofcourse the s2000 has to be white with red interior or black with that sleek biege! :)

I went from DC5R to S2000. Its obviously not an everyday car, its a 2 seater, the boot is small, and theres not much room in cabin. You gotta put up with it. And about your DC5, i dont mean to be rude but you wont get 23,000 for it, settle with 20,000. I picked my DC5 off a dealer, with 1 year warranty, and 63000 kms and one owner history for 23,000 2 years ago.

Yeah I wouldn't have bought mine if it was to be the only car in the household. Plus the boot is so tiny. Although it is good that you never have to ferry your mates around. Good luck with the sale.

GP White/Red is one of the rarer combos and black/beige wasn't even offered for the first few years so I hope you're being realistic about what you expect to pick up and how much you expect to pay for it. At least more realistic than what you expect to sell the Integra for.

Honda Power of dreams?
Haha but then again, you don't know what will pop up so no harm in waiting for the right one either.

I suppose it helps having had a second (more practical car) for a while, but I used to have a DC2R and a BB4 VTi-R before I bought my S2000. TBH, the backseats in those coupes were no better than book shelves posing as seats. However, I did miss using them as extra storage.

I think it took me about 2 days to get over it.

If you're worried about not having rear seats or storage, the S2000 is not for you. Maybe look at an S15 or an RX8.

Hoping for like 21000 realistically, as I'm giving the buyer everything. Spare battery, stock exhaust, oem type r headlights, type r wing, stock wheels with as new wheels, spare centre console, spare oem shocks and springs, stock airbox intake. So don't think 21000 will be too much to ask

I do. You car sounds like a stock DC5S. If I was in the market for a DC5, I wouldn't pay more than about 17k.
Paying more than 18k means I'd rather have an S15 or something better quality.

You can get a DC5R these days for around 17k, a base dc5 can't possibly fetch more?

Sure the DC5Rs may have more Kms, but still more desirable.

I'm confused, do you have a dc5 base model or type r? You say you are going to give the stock type r wing? Lol...

its a full proper type r. with 89xxx kms.

all the type rs on carsales etc are way ontop of 20,000, so i see my price as reasonable.

its got some tasteful mods, including
-5zigen wheels with dunlop and goodyear tyres
-injen cai
-skunk2 full stainless megapower rr system
-angel eye projector headlights
-HID light kit
-blox titanium extended lug nuts
-spoon/mugen reservoir covers

-beak* rear sub tie frame bar

-Eibach King Pro springs
-new battery

-interior, has clarion tweeters, and 4 clarion speakers,
-Pioneer AVH3250bt - DVD player double din
-bluetooth kit
-clarion amp
-clarion 12" subs, in a custom made box

and yeh i mentioned that its coming with the type r wing, cause i have it off.

I reckon settle for $19 - 20,000 at best IF it comes with log books...
Modifications don't really add value all too much.

anyways, I went from DC5R to S2K, and it's not that great lol, can't really do much with it and it's such a weekend car now compared when I use to drive the dc5 everywhere, everyday haha.

With your mods christoski, I would buy a stock one for the same price if it was in better condition. As What David (dlai5552) said, modifications dont really add value all too much. That is the case if those mods on the potential car are futile. For example, after doing so much research on a DC5, i'd be buying a car thats got klm just after 80k, or 120k (reason why is the semi major service(s) have been completed), if car has upgraded aftermarket engine mounts, another win! etc.

Sounds like a good idea. You're like me when it comes to getting bored of cars, but after switching so many times I think I would have liked to stay with a couple of them.

Ahhh, but neither of you have had an S2000.

I bought mine new in 2000 and have had it ever since.

And can't see me selling it in the near future either.

Looking at a s2000'this weekend. Might get out a loan and buy it and then when I sell the integra just pay the loan out. I use to hate silver s2000 but since seeing them with black wheels and red interior I'm like omg hottttt

Or you could spend half as much money and get a car with SOME of the luxuries an s2k has.

Get a CRX del sol. One for sale right now on carsales for 9k. Looks absolutely mint and its WHITE and a 1998 model. Cant go wrong!

Check it out: WHITE CRX DEL SOL 9k (http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=11&R=11002973&keywords=&trecs=51&__sid=131630A03743&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal |1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=1&__Nne=15&__No=15&seot=1&__N=1216%201247%201252%201282%204294965106%2042949 65322&silo=1011)

Ahahahahahahaha I am giving the man a lesser option in terms of price.

By luxuries I pretty much meant having the top off :P

I like the Del Sol. A buddy of mine bought one new in 91 or 92.

But they are nothing compared to an S2000.

I can't believe there's a debate. Get the CRX and be done with it. The S2000 is sh_t and RWD is over-rated.

I was so tempted to just reply with a 'LOL'.. Yea i got negetive repped for saying the word 'shit' in a post, its 'innapropriate', while theres a thread dedicated for naked asian chicks..
